I respect Ducker, he is no bullshitter and usually first in line to be briefed by Utd. I assume his editor or sales department told him to churn out another Utd article today to keep those clicks coming.

If we are looking for a back up to Lukaku, we should get Dzeko. He is a bit slow but he fits the target man role perfectly.

Savic at 100m would only make sense if Pogba leaves, which doesnt look like it, i dont think any club would have the money and intention to buy Pogba this summer, even if he wanted to leave.

Yeah that tagline is sarcasm. I didn't want Pogba for 90m back when we bought him and I'd sell him if a good offer came in this window.

He turned down Chelsea no? Have to imagine Mou wouldn't guarantee him playing time, so short of overpaying him a ridiculous wage why would he go to United.

@Damien - Can we look into this twitter-source United Xtra. It's not really a source itself, but just apparently quoting other media like [Times], [Di Marzio]

I tried to find a source for Times to say we were signing 5-6 players, but it was nowhere to be found that they'd said such thing. Same thing with Di Marzio - I've just tried and scroll through Di Marzio's twitter for the last 5 days and there no mention whatsoever about us dropping out of Milinkovic because of 100m is too steep.

They quote a lot of sources and they do it often, but it seems as if not all are correct - I mean why not just get the straight source like quoting Di Marzio than United Extra "quoting" a "source"?

I'm not sure of the details but he wanted a move, Chelsea had even agreed a fee with Roma, 44 mill for Dzeko + Palmeri.
But apparently Dzeko wanted a 3 year deal but Chelsea only wanted to give him a 2 year deal. Apparently that's why the move fell through.
In the end Chelsea bought Palmeri for 18? Million, which means Dzeko must be available for about 25 mill.

I'm not trying to mislead, was always going to be a long shot with Savic when we have Pogba. No need to report me to the mods.

They never make anything up, it’s always sourced from somewhere. The Savic thing is from today’s news about Fred.

Ah, no worries - no intention on that from my behalf - Im just sceptical and I thought everyone on the forum should be too.

edit: My scepticism stems from United Xtra quoting a [Times] article about us signing 5-6 players at minimum leading to a thread in here about 10+ pages long. No one in the thread apparently actually saw the exact article. I just would like this forum to quote the direct source instead of an intermediary source, who could in theory make shit up
