75 milion for a player with such a low buyout next year is ridiculous
Hopefully we do a Dier episode 2Spurs obviously ramping up the price to try and get a certain player involved in the negotiations.
is our homegrown quota still healthy?
I think he has been a hugely under rated midfielder, one of the best in the league and has shown it when free of injury for any period of time, against Juventus for example he was the best player on the pitch in the first leg by a mile for me and has dominated us years ago too.
If it wasnt for the injuries I would have loved us to have signed him a few years ago, not now though
So....who won the Lukaku/Morata debate?
He is 29 and barely had any injuries during his career but yeah, £75 is way too much.I'm going to guess that the Mirror are adding his wages in to come up with the £75M? There's no way we'd sanction a flat £75M fee for a 30 year old with some injury concerns.

D'oh£75 would be a bargain

Hope so, he will be 30 at the start of next season, paying more than 30 is madness. He's coming off a season of injury though and in in the last year of his deal as well, isn't he? It's just a ludicrous amount of money that I can't see anyone paying.
This why you should never leave Madrid unless they boot you out.Morata had a back injury that apparently affected him a lot but Lukaku has undoubtedly won, although his numbers have not been spectacular either.
A terrible year for Morata. Seeing Benzema problems to score, he probably would have played more and would not have lost the World Cup.
Him turning 30 means nothing, he doesn't rely on pace so can play well into his 30s.Hope so, he will be 30 at the start of next season, paying more than 30 is madness.
I know most of you are obsessed with age but why do you always need to post false info? He just turned 29 in March.Hope so, he will be 30 at the start of next season, paying more than 30 is madness.
"It was initially believed the Londoners would accept around £55m for Alderweireld, but chairman Daniel Levy is believed to be seeking closer to the £75m Liverpool paid Southampton for fellow centre-back Virgil van Dijk in January."
40-55M should do it.
That's the made up journo bollocks United price. It's probably around 25-30m from reality.75M for Alderweireld? No thanks.
It´s said that now he is desperate to return, which is impossible because of his sale price. Mariano should be the new Morata but I think Madrid don´t have buy back clause. This why you should never leave Madrid unless they boot you out.
Jesus christ, what is with this trend of saying "he'll be X age next season". He's just turned 29.Hope so, he will be 30 at the start of next season, paying more than 30 is madness.
