Unfortunately, that's the most realistic scenario.Yep sounds like us, £70m for William which Barca refused to pay while Chelsea get a younger and better replacement.

He was dropped cause he wasn't good in the second half of last season. That was easy to see. Mourinho just didn't want to state it outright.I'd be very surprised if he wasn't tbh. According to Mourinho, Bailly was dropped to get the other CB's playing time so that they could make the World cup. Bailly will be straight back into the team come next season imo.
Rodri signed from Villarreal he’s a central midfield player. This one is Rodrigo the Spanish forward by way of Brazil. He’s good IMO but not sure Real Madrid quality as a starter.Wait I thought he has just signed for Atletico?
Would be our worst transfer business since signing Rojo for £15 million plus Nani
Even with buy back, Levy would then command overvalued fee. So it's as good as normal dealingOf course it would.
The only way I would do that deal if a buy back clause was included.
That was a bullsh*t excuse. Bailly was dropped, simple as that.
Mourinho may have got tired of his injuries, but I wouldn't say Bailly was poor. If I remember correctly, near the end of the season, Mourinho played Smalling pretty much every game and switched his partner with Jones, Lindelof and Rojo. I strongly doubt Bailly was demoted to 5th choice CB regardless of how badly you're saying he played. He was dropped cause he wasn't good in the second half of last season. That was easy to see. Its a new club every day with this guy. He may as well be standing in a shop window with a red light on in the background.
You want Smalling as your first choice Cb and also want Lukaku replaced? Are you sure you've been watching the right team this past year?Vida has the look
Every year we are signing a commanding centerback. In the meantime, Smalling is becoming a commanding centerback. His passing leaves something to be desired, but his defensive work is top notch. I’ll take a RW or Striker (Lukaku replacement) any day over another CB.
Dangerous thing to say "Im not bothered about transfers" with Marina Granovskaia around

Replacement? You mean back-up?Vida has the look

Still no Mina ? Damn .
Why do you believe anything he has to say?Read the article - just sounds like there is a serious lack of planning on our part. Ridiculous to be in this situation so close to the start of the season.

Lukaku replacement as in a back-up to Lukaku (who has a great record with fitness and seldom misses a game) or a replacement as in a player who will replace Lukaku as our main striker? If it's the former I think that's a waste of money when we can really upgrade areas in our first XI if it's the latter then I strongly disagree. Lukaku's one of our better players.Vida has the look
