Lingard -> Willian is a far bigger upgrade than Pogba/Fred/Matic -> Thiago. Remember how good he was under Mourinho at Chelsea.
Not really, Thiago brings elements that none of them have, crucial elements to controlling midfield, something we often lack, especially in games against teams where we need to sustain attacking pressure. I've never been very impressed by Willian, and certainly not to the tune of £70M for a 30 year old, I don't think at this point he's much better than Lingard, he's a better crosser but a poorer link-up player and offers no more workrate or goal threat than Jesse.

He sticks out like a sore thumb in that list of players in terms of ceiling and potential in my view. If they tried then I highly doubt some of the top clubs would let him go to Roma, and we’ve seen that happen today with a lesser player in Malcom.

I rate Bailey highly and think he’s better than Roma. He’s playing at only a slightly lower level (and even that’s debatable) with Leverkusen compared to Roma whereas there is a very clear step up from Bordeaux to the latter.

If we go in for Ousmané Dembele you can be guaranteed they're going to want Paul the Pog in return.

Also I doubt Martial will have anything nice to say about a certain, miserable Portguese man we have hanging around the place.

Sure, if they did something genuinely funny. They haven't. They're just pathetic.

How about the Champions League semi?

With those players and the way they came back against Barcelona. You'd expect more. They turned up ready to be thrashed, got thrashed and then thanked Liverpool for the privilege.
I'm pretty sure that the social media department isn't responsible for on field performances.

Got you. Don't think it would be a bad move for him though.

Leverkusen will want at least double what Bordeaux wanted for Malcom. Roma aren't really ones for making signings that cost that much.

Don't want to sound dismissive, but how do you know? They are practically the definition of a selling club and have no problem whatsoever moving on from their best players. Not saying you are wrong though.

Maguire is seriously, seriously fecking shit. Gets destroyed against any decent footballing side as he’s so uncoordinated.

His sides have conceded 80 and 60 goals in the last two PL seasons. 20th and 16th in the league. He just an awful player by any top clubs standards. It would be a disastrous piece of business. Jones and Smalling are legitimately better defenders.
united were 2nd best defence in the league last year so hard to see why would we want to sign another defender anyway you know

Lol if we ask Barca for Dembele, they will ask for 150 million pounds. They have no need to sell, he's on a long contract and they know we are loaded.

There were reports that Leverkusen wanted 100 million for Bailey

Just from various reports. My guess is there'll be a transfer tug of war next summer.

Where are you going to play him? Salah back up?
We definitely need another attacking player, although the number 10 role is where we're lacking so Dembele would be back up more than anything.

Probably not worth it now that we've signed Shaqiri.

Where has Everton's money come from? And why are they spending it so poorly?
Their owner Moshiri is a billionaire and his business partner Usmanov is one of the richest Russians. Looking like Usmanov is going to sell his stake at Arsenal and join Moshiri at Everton.

As for why they're spending it poorly, god knows. If they actually spent the money wisely they might have a chance of challenging the top 6.
