He might not do it for us but he can surely do it for someone else and that someone else better not be a PL rival unless we get something very good out of the deal aswell. We are not going to give away presents to our competitors are we ?
I don't disagree he MIGHT do it somewhere else but that's a chance we have to take. We're United, we got past Robson leaving, Cantona, Keane, Stam, Scholes..... we say thanks and move on, we can get past Martial easy. If he does well somewhere else, so be it.

And imo, getting a good CH (and maybe some money) is ok... it's not my money and if the club get the right result but loses some cash, they can suck it up.

Gerard Romero/rac1: Atletico have stopped the search for a Griezmann replacement. They are now confident the striker will stay.

All we need is a rumour of De Gea to RM and our 3 best players will be out of the door.

(This will come tomorrow or next week, the jouros read this shit, where do you think they get their gossip from?)
If Martial is one of our 3 best players no wonder our attack is shite

@The red panther ... :)

It is The Daily Mail though so basically means feck all?
It says this in the article though, so title is completely different to the contents
Chelsea are known suitors and Jose Mourinho's interest in their playmaker Willian could facilitate a switch to London.

But Old Trafford officials would prefer that Martial, who joined in 2013 from Monaco for a fee that could rise to £58m, heads overseas.

Juve seem to be linked with players way out if there price range, even if we offered them Pogba for £80m they’d struggle to find the money.
They could always sell Dybala to fund everything.

Well said, I don't get the obsession with Martial at the moment.

Almost to the day he pulled the same shit with us.
Its almost as if he's too afraid to take the next step, he crumbles at the last minute and takes the easy way out.
Easy way out? I look at it from the perspective he feels apart of the Atletico family and though they spend less money and are less flashy he can help them win some more silverware. A Champions League or La Liga win with Atletico would mean more than to be part of a Barca team or United team doing something similar surely?

He'll be the main man there and thus is relied upon more heavily and paid less. Respect to him.

Because the only obsession you get is Ronaldo.

Seriously, people are worried that United could lose a great talent because of Sanchez who turns 30 in several months and doesn't play better than Martial.

Before signing Sanchez, did Martial look that good?

Granted Sanchez has been disappointing so far, but that doesn't make Martial indispensible.

Fecking hell.

If City get De Ligt for 50m and we spend close to that on Toby Aldeweireld it would be a perfect illustration on the differences in the way the two clubs do business, and why City are set to dominate for the coming years.

Right back definitely seems like one of Sidibe, Vrsaljko or Hysaj or someone like that. Nothing spectacular, but solid right backs and all probably 35-40m in terms of price. I don't think any of them will improve us so much, more just a continuation of what Valencia has mostly been. Nothing wrong with that, but needs to be done. Left back is where any signing will be more of an improvement (Alex Sandro hopefully).
One of these for right back, alex sandro for left back, Alderweireld for center back, Fred in midfield... all 4 of those seem likely tbh, and would be good signings.
The 2nd midfielder and attacker if we go for them is what right now hasn't had much reliable reports.
