United are certs to sign Willian, he's the hard working winger who was touted by that Bill Rice guy last week. We went in for him last season, Sarri has his own ideas so might not mind losing him, Mourinho loves him. It all fits. I think he could do a decent job for us too, maybe not an exciting signing but one that could turn out to be very beneficial.

Doubt. Barcelona offer was quite high yet got declined. Don't see anyone can offer more.

I have a feeling Willian Toby and sandro to United in the next few weeks

That'd be a lot of money but I think 3 ideal signings.

Gonna have to be exits, though. If not 3/4 fringe players, then maybe a bit exit like Martial to help fund.

That's hilarious. Serves them right, grown up men acting as absolute muppets.

Get over it. They love their club and are really happy to see an exciting talent potentially join their ranks.

If we were turning down £60m for Willian from a non-rival, foreign club I can't imagine what it would take for United to sign him. Because there's no way it would be a straight swap with Martial.

I do have a feeling we have something up our sleeves, there's no way we're penny pinching, we've just had our best league season since Fergie retired, Woodward will know now is the time to back the manager and push on. I just dont see senior management being incompetent to the level of being negligent as regards the club's fortunes.

I hope so but l think they would want Martial as part of the deal and l wouldn't want him going to Chelsea.

If Barcelona can't afford Willian I don't see how we can, as Chelsea will want even more from us.

I hope this doesn't mean we bid for Willian. Chelsea will ask for Martial in exchange as well.

It's not what you said.

"Isn't an issue" is way different than "hasn't done badly". Long answer short, if this Mourinho stint turned out bad, it's time to change the whole model. Better with a conventional. People have to share responsibility and shoulder the blame for failure. Open the safe for marquee signings for attacking flashy position (some looks bad from the the get go from neutral pov), yet delaying for extra push for cog of machine signings for less celebrated areas, it's every bit of fault for Ed who control the spending of the club

Learn to discuss properly also. Can't make a good discussion without resorting to sound like a kid?

Yet you end your post doing so..

As I have told you several times my post was to someone else who said 'if we sell Martial and sign no one then our net spend will be zero, doing things other clubs could only dream of, feck you Woody', to which I pointed out who we have signed, surely perfectly logical, the fact you then leap on it, and look to me to answer what we should have done is down to you, I'm quite happy here.

I am responding within that context in mind.

That post was read as a joke. You came up with a serious post. Of course, I want to know how serious you would go to show this non issue.

Barcelona being greedy. Malcolm AND Dembele is not fair. Both will want to play.

I'll take the heat . It's either those 3 or Maguire, Perisic and Arnautavic ;) ... could you Imagine this place

I’m wouldn’t wish the latter on anyone( except pool)

To be fair Perisic would likely be a good addition think Maguire may surprise the detractors on here but that price means nothing less than a hybrid of Vidic and Rio would spare this place from a biblical meltdown

Leicester were very difficult with City over Mahrez in previous windows so wouldn’t surprise me if that article is true and we fail to get Maguire. Whether we get him or not we’ll end up paying £60m+

At this point I'd happily take Maguire and Perisic.

A sick and twisted part of me would like to see what would happen to this place if we signed Arnautavic. I genuinely think this place would crash.

Not sure what's weirder, how much Barcelona were willing to pay for Willian or that Chelsea thought they could get even more. He's a good player, but not worth that much.

Maguire is seriously, seriously fecking shit. Gets destroyed against any decent footballing side as he’s so uncoordinated.

His sides have conceded 80 and 60 goals in the last two PL seasons. 20th and 16th in the league. He just an awful player by any top clubs standards. It would be a disastrous piece of business. Jones and Smalling are legitimately better defenders.

Maybe they really dont want to sell Willian.

Didn’t Leicester finish 9th last season?
