I think we're done for the summer.
I agree, we have/had targets but they unattainable right now.

I’m beginning to think this early window closure is pretty shit, especially after the WC

Feck me, what a day
Martial hell bent on leaving, Pogba wants to go, Mourinho ditches plans to buy Sandro or any LB for that matter , United drop their interest in Alderweireld, United to fork out 65 million pounds on fecking Maguire and United's chief scout leaves the club because he had no power!!
Bring on the season I say

Good point. I stopped supporting United anyway since we signed Lukaku. Going to see how Ronaldo does at Juve before I pick a club straight away though not sure how Spurs or Liverpool will do next season. Just keeping my options open.
I think I'll give up.

Kicker is linking us with Boateng

Christ, can you imagine. Let's give Bayern the money to upgrade their squad with future beasts by buying a CB they want shot of coz he's past it and injury prone.

But hey, he's a big name and experienced Jose might fancy it....

Imagine we sold Martial for £70m.

Our net spend for the summer would be £0

Doing things other clubs could only dream of. feck you, Woody.

If I were one of these cheap ITKs, I would get a rumour started of a Martial for Pulisic swap. Such an article would get everyone’s muppet juices flowing and would surely break click records.

Aguero - 30
Silva - 32
Fernandinho - 33
Kompany - 32
Otamendi - 30
Nolito - 31
Delph - 29 soon

City hasn't done too badly with some 'oldies' in their team.

With the advancements in science and medicine nowadays, 29 is not as old as many of us think in football.

Most of these players were brought to City at a younger age and has been with the club a while. If you look at City's transfers the last summers most of the players brought in are 25 or younger and the players that has been sold has been older.

The rumours around United at the moment points to older players coming in and a younger player in Martial going the other way. I'm not against playing 29+ year old players but if you are going to buy players of that age you want to be sure that they are great and will perform at the highest level. I think that both Willian and Perisic are streaky players and at that cost I want more consistency.

La Repubblica tier 2 say we prepare 32m euro offer for Bonucci
Still "prepare"...

Is it not widely reported his agent was in Paris discussing with PSG? If we're serious official contact should be made by now.

If you'd said after Moyes was fired we'd sign ADM, Falcao, Mata, Pogba, Zlatan, Sanchez, etc, you'd have said it was the stuff of dreams, yet it happened, so perhaps 'Woody' isn't the issue here.

Just remember. As horrible a window this may be come deadline day, it's not as bad as the Moyes window.

@Lash no Kicker is maybe the German equivalent to France Football, probably you were thinking on Bild.

It can be. Signing ADM for a manager who clearly doesn't like the signing just to sell ADM after one year. Falcao Zlatan were gamble. Zlatan worked out well until his injury. Mata is very un -United player as it gets. Don't see SAF ever buys him let alone paying club record fee at the time in winter window. Having this transfer through with a manager who didn't look like having a plan is damning if anything. Sanchez only has six months. Pogba is hardly bad.

Try to guide us around just to point at manager position? Sure our managers haven't been doing well, yet still beg the question who would be good for this position post SAF? Haven't seen a straight forward answer when this question being asked

There is nothing clever is asking that question, we messed it up, clearly we should have gone for different managers, but we have paid the price, I'm not going to tell you who I'm afraid.

I was referring to the players we have bought, all I listed are top players, and were bought in good faith to make us better, and no doubt with he current managers blessing, (and yes LvG wanted ADM), so as my original point stated Woody isn't really the issue here..

Again dodging the question. Why afraid to give opinion? You even have hindsight of who were available and all?

The key faliure was giving to Moyes which left the club in disastrous mode. Shaking it of and coming back to SAF's standard is long shot.

LVG wanted ADM is as saying he had plan for Powell to play in that Cl game vs Wolfsburg. It's clear as day, LVG didn't know what to do with ADM. He has different view on midfielder and ADM just had his best season even in hindsight as midfielder. LVG shoehorned every where until finally dropped him.

Fans have expectation with signings, doesn't mean Ed doing his job well in every big signings he pulled off. Signings would need to meet the need of the team (not fans expectation as many have different view)

Between Martial and Pogba rumors, no Sandro, Jose's being down and Ribalta leaving, I just can't stand it.
What is wrong with United all of sudden? We're supposed to be professional and attack the season strong, instead we are just going for the most notable car crash ever as a club...

It's a conspiracy. We were top for all those years and these whiny fecks couldn't stand it so they all conspired behind the scenes to take us down.

Are you mad? I wasn't replying to this originally, I was replying to someone who said Ed hasn't delivered on his, 'we can do things in the transfer window other clubs can only dream of'. as he clearly has.

You are clearly trying to be clever, for whatever reason, but if the timing had been better then LvG could just of easily been Ancelotti, or Jose been Klopp, which would surely have been a better fit, we have royally messed up the managers position, a lot more so than the players we have bought.

So even with hindsight it's just the matter of "if".

It's clear everyone was spoken. Moyes was picked. LVG was the only one with track of record if winning thing available. Ancelotti just won fecking CL and as hingsight showed, Madrid players loved him even when Perez sacked him. Who would have managed us between Moyes and Ancelotti became available?

With hindsight, is Klopp a success? Klopp can act like he did as United manager without the media going out with pitchfork turning the fans against him?

Ed is in position that is responsible for managers appointment and part of performance. Maybe he promised too much? It's Ed's word that we can do ting in transfer that no other can, so perhaps everyone base expectation on that? Even our top signings ain't exactly meet expectation of those words. It only pushed pressure on the playing staffs

Ed made the mistake of thinking if you sign top players it doesn't really matter who is your manager, naive no doubt, but forgivable imo, alot of the time this would have worked, but the timing to appoint anyone who could have made it happen was always wrong it seemed, we are now left marking time until we get another shot at it.

So yes if it makes you feel better Ed has complety messed up with the managers.

Malcom no longer arriving, Bordeaux have withdrawn the authorisation
