I like the fact that we're pretending to have no money. Helps prevent clubs from fleecing us.

He’s better than Mallethead Maguire.
Why don't people realize that Boateng is soo injury prone?

I mean do they even follow bayern before jumping on to the conclusion of signing an ageing crock?

"United remain interested in Toby Alderweireld....United prioritised a centre-back and attacker earlier this summer and could only make a left-back addition if they have funds remaining from other dealings...."

I think people need to realise that this summer has been frustrating for everyone so far.

Liverpool have been the most active, but looking at it realistically they had already signed Keita last summer, there was no real competition for Fabinho, they paid through the roof to get a GK, and Shaqiri had a release clause.

Most of Luckhurt's article sounds like pure speculation. He's right about one thing though; the world cup has tripped everyone up, and it's compounded in the EPL because they decided to shorten the transfer window. Quite stupidly in hind sight.

City will benefit the most from this because they just went out and paid whatever was necessary last year. Any new addition, like Mahrez, is just the cherry on top.

Jose needs to get a lot more out of what he already has to even stand a chance this season.

Sell with a buyback option. If Jose fecks off next summer we can always bring him back if the next manager fancies him.

Very surprised to see so many of you against Maguire. I wouldn't mind him at Chelsea, tbh. Think he'll become a top player.

Why do we need to sell Martial to smooth the way?! We're crying out for a RW regardless.

I really hope we don't use him as a makeweight in a deal for Willian.

That would be such terrible business. No wonder Woodward is digging his heels in.

Edit: why didn't Jose let Fellaini leave then? If he's so willing to flog Martial...at least Martial has a relevant grievance, Fellaini is lucky to have even got a move to Utd in the first place.

Let him go. He's not had a great attitude for some time. I was prepared to ignore most of it based on his age and the off field stories that sounded like they affected him but if he is this much of a snowflake then bye bye.

Maybe we can get a right midfielder in instead. More than happy for Sanchez and Rashford to compete for the left side whilst providing backup to Lukaku until we can get another forward in.

Our priority is spending £65m on a CB who was sold for £12m a year ago. Our club is managed by knob heads
Same can be said for Liverpool then, done same thing with van dijk

I really want him, he is a beast, ppl are arguing over him because he doesnt have the name yet, but they want bonucci who was crap with AC Milan

At this rate, even Lucas Moura would do better than our options on the RW. We should have signed him as a safety measure.

I remember facing similar confusion when you lot got Gary Cahil. At the time, and before he went to Chelsea, I said he was top quality and would have been a great eventual replacement for Vidic.

Maguire looks like an oaf, but plays with a lot of culture and guile IMO. He and Bailly would make a very good pairing at United I reckon.

Slabhead is fine but his price has just gone mental due to the world cup.

What about if we just called him Maguireno

Well window isnt over but this seems to be one of three things, all of which we have seen before and either way not good:

1. We have over ambitous targets we are putting all our focus on and failing to land such as Bale and Toby of Spurs.....this has happened over several seasons, we spend too long without moving on to other targets. Seems amateurish
2. The board are failing to land targets. Woodward doesnt seem to have been great in negotiations lets be honest, we have failed on many and over paid on others we have landed, especially to agents such as Riola
3. Just like Conte last year, Mourinho is already getting his excuses in (rightly or wrongly). This is an especially concerning sign for the feared season of the Mourinho meltdown many including myself fear this year

As many have said, his price is insane. Also I feel he's a bit clumsy and a bit slow off the blocks
