I don't like this whole "staying for another year" business tbh.

He's been with us for a few seasons and Mourinho should know whether he wants him or not in the long term. We've already decided to drag out Fellaini's stay and Matic going to need replacing in a couple seasons too. Keeping Martial for another year just suggests a bit of a limbo.

Jose is getting into his 3rd season at the club and will be under pressure for a title challenge. He should really be given the opportunities to swap players for who he thinks fits the style better. If Martial is going eventually we may as well sell now and use the funds towards a right winger + CB or LB.

You will belive anything as long as it fits into your agenda.

If Jose wants rid he will get rid.
I don't have an agenda, I have an opinion, and I think the club know there's no future in bending over fully for Mourinho, like other elite clubs don't let the manager sell players willy nilly, they are just treat as employees who don't have carte blanche to sell assets, hence why Shaw, Martial and Pogba wont be allowed to leave even if they want to and Mourinho wont be allowed to sell them even if he wants to.

This is hilarious

So Di Marzio tells Benzema's agent that he should change jobs after Benzema's agent mocked the idea of Benzema moving to Milan with a laughing emoticon(I'm presuming that Di Marzio thinks Benz is leaving to perhaps Milan)

And now Benzema tells Di Marzio that he's the one who should change jobs
Didnt Emre Can come out before the summer saying his proposed transfer from liverpool was all lies, daming reports and yet low and behold he signed for Juve.

I get Benzema worked well with Ronaldo, but who will they replace Benzema with? Apart from Mbappe and Neymar what forwards have they been linked to?

Thanks for enforcing my point ffs :wenger:

 So why do you keep repeating same stuff over and over again like a broken record in pretty much every post?

Castles story is along the lines of what others have been told, United want to keep him for another year but offer of €100m+ might persuade them to cash in.
Yes, to an extent. Most of these articles have been saying that United are determined to keep Martial for another season. But yes some have been saying we'd sell for the right price.
Willian has proven his worth, Martial hasn't. It's all about what he may do, not what he has done so far.
Agree and disagree. You're right, Willian has shown what he can do. Quick, skilful and a hard working winger. But, Martial in terms of out output is already more effective. Last season was Willian's best season by far (output wise) where he got 13 goals and 12 assists all competitions. In comparison, a 19/20 year old Martial got 18 goals and 11 assists. That's not even factoring in the fact that Martial is 22, while Willian will be 30 next month. Martial's market value simply has to be considerably high.

In fact, I remember seeing a stat last season showing that since Martial moved to England, his output has been a very similar level to Hazard's.

Exactly. It would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic. I don’t even know why they even care since the openly said they don’t support United because we signed Lukaku. Anyone who says stuff like that deserves absolutely no fecking respect especially since all their posts are negative. “No agenda” my arse.

Maybe they can go support whatever team Martial ends up joining if he leaves. I actually hope to God Martial FC will follow him out of this forum if he does.

We got Dalot though.

I do think he will get a chance.

I hope he gets a chance. But if Valencia is injured, he would be an untried 19 year old, in a position that is vital to get right in modern football. I hope I’m wrong, but Dalot is one for the future, not for now.

If Sanchez regains his world class form when is Martial going to play? Even if he doesn't regain that form will Mou drop him? You guys will know better than me, but I can't see that happening.

Martial to me seems like the next Salah or De Bruyne when they were at Chelsea. Mou essentially viewed them as soft and was unwilling to give them consistent game time.

Lets get rid of anyone that doesn't follow the hivemind, that's not an agenda though......I didn't quote you btw, you started by coming at me, I see lots of stuff posted here daily from posters like you that I could go for, but I don't as I didn't think the objective of the forum was to attack others because they don't share my view, I thought it was about commenting on football and the articles.

Irony just died.

Martial does actually get games though. He has been given way more chances than de Bruyne and Salah.

You should probably update yourself on the situation. He called their bluff and agent admitted it was true

This has put Marizio as the uncontested ITK GOAT

Where? Could you post the link? I tried looking but I can't find it anywhere on r soccer.

I think people like Woodward at the club is unwilling to let Martial go and also keeps it in the back of their mind that Jose might not be here next season, so they won't let him flog one of our talents.

If that happens and a new manager comes in all it will take is a promise of some game time and Martial will probably re-sign.

A 100m player would have gotten more minutes than Lingard and Rashford last season. So no, he isn't a 100m player (unless Spurs ask for him), let's be realistic. I'd rather keep Martial than sell him but that's more down to talent and potential rather than what he's done on the pitch for some time.

Under a better attacking manager Martial gets more minutes than Lingard especially and possibly Rashford.

I know we dont have room for him, but I've always wanted Kovacic at United.

I fear City will snap him up.

I think there is a bit of a talent exodus coming for Utd. Today they briefed not that Martial is not for sale but Martial is for sale at 100m. After a bit of negotiating, I could easily see Chelsea use half of the Hazard money and get him for something like 75m plus 15m bonuses.

Pogba is another one, offered by his agent to Man City in Winter, now to Barca and possibly PSG as well. He has been openly critical of his situation under Mourinho and everyone knows he doesn‘t like playing under him.

Utd did well to get those two world class talents, but they are their only ones (besides De Gea) and they could be gone before they reach their peak or win some trophies for Utd.

If that happens, Utd will be even further away from the PL/CL title than in the last few years. I don‘t see them bringing any one of world class potential in, like Barca having Dembele, PSG having Mbappe and City having Sane. The best attacking talent of the next decade is mostly distributed already among the top clubs, with Real snapping up those Brazilians etc.

There are some very good talents still playing in Bundesliga at selling clubs (Werner, Pulisic, Brandt, Sancho), but the best talent not at a top club at the start of the summer has been snapped up already, with Atletico getting Lemar for a kinda cheap 65m.

This is what I think will happen, or Jose finally sees sense and plays Sanchez from the right

Fair answer honestly, not sure what people expect the silly twirp to say.
What is fair about it? It's not his business to talk about other club business in the first place. Pogba has been judged by his price tags for this kind of comments. Unlikely pundits, Klopp is supposed to be a rival. He has no business giving opinion in public in the first place (he said someing along the line about better have an opinion and change, than not having one... That'/ Trump level of public relation). Being hypocrite is one thing, unhealthy competeting is another thing. Just because we didn't stoop so low as him, doesn't mean it's fair he is let off easily by the media.
