We are trying to offload Shaw from all evidence.

He's in the last year of his contract and we haven't bothered offering him a new one.

If Shaw were to stay, we are actually in a better situation with our LB than we are with our RB. Our current LB situation Ashley Young & rejuvenated Shaw is better than RB Valencia & 19 yr old Dalot.

Yes he was. He was really good.

If he was so amazing, how did Leicester manage to let in 1.6 goals a game then? Surely we cant just blame the conceded goals on the other 3 defenders he's playing with while he was "really good" at the same time?

Loads of good defenders have played in teams that ship goals. Maguire is better than those around him. Hence why he was voted Leicester Player of the Year.

Would rather have Johnny Evans back.

Klopp is a bit silly then isn't he?

It was pretty predictable that with the influx of rich owners and TV money that transfer fees were about to skyrocket.

Fair answer honestly, not sure what people expect the silly twirp to say.
I expected him to make reference to offside goals, Sergio Ramos, dry pitches or teams daring to defend.

It was a ridiculously stupid thing to say, he knew fine rightly he'd have spent the money given the option, but he wanted to get a dig in at United and make himself feel like the big man to the Scousers again while simultaneously taking a bit of pressure off himself. Now that he's spent it there's going to be even more scrutiny and pressure given his comments.

There's a line in that article that I translated on Google to say "However he will almost certainly start from Juventus this year.". Is that referring to Sandro?

It is, but it does not mean he will start for Juventus, but that he will leave almost certainly this year.

I‘m not a native speaker though, so someone may know better in that case.

Is Alison a world-class keeper? Lol. Pogba has been world class for at least two seasons at Juve and one of best midfielders in the world during his time at Juve.

Giroud to join Griezmann at Athletico? Sounds like a good idea. The two have a good understanding.

That said, he left Arsenal because he wasn't first choice. With Costa being there, i'm not sure he'll be an automatic starter. Guess it's similar to his situation at Chelsea if they sign Higuain.

So, Klopp blames the market and the state of it. Does he realize that he’s currently holding the world record fee for GK and CB? You can’t claim to just go with the tide, while you’re breaking the transfer records. Then you’re no longer a passenger, you are steering the ship.

No worries, I've deleted it for you.

Klopp addresses the Pogba comments:

The world hasn't changed. Just his hypocrisy being exposed and he's scrapping for excuses.

All managers often make contradictory comments, but in Klopp's case, he specifically called out another club and a player that was not his own. Then did the exact same thing he criticized. Shouldn't let him forget it.

This Willian thing reminds me when we had a mini meltdown here when we were linked with Mane, look how that turned out..
How so? With Mane I think people just thought he couldn't make the step up. Willian is already at that level. People just don't think he'd provide enough.

Yep and he can’t get round the fact he said he would quit if football came to that.

I don’t think he has much say in how much other clubs want for their players.
