They would have no chance of signing Kane and Werner is not better than Lewandowski

Yea, Kane is unlikely but while Werner isn't as good as Lewandowski right now he can be in a few years. He doesn't have the aerial presence of Lewa but his goalscoring prowess and buildup play is great.

This is already an awful transfer window and probably wont get any better. If Chelsea get Sarri I might lose the will to live.

WhoScored list crossing as a weakness of his.
It also says he likes to cross. He is getting more game lately concided with Diego Costa was eligible to play for Atletico. So connecting the dots, it's more like he is suitable with the a big forward up top. Look at it like this, if you put in plenty crosses, even good one in good area, your stats count doesn't look good since you rely on the forwards inside to convert it. Here Diego Costa is the best in Atletico team in normal play (not set piece where CBs can join in), but it would be predictable to defend crosses for opposition as they know exactly where the crosses would come.

The funny thing is, they really aren’t. There are better full-backs out there for sure, buth Ashley Young has been one of our best players this season. Valencia too has been ok, although he hasn’t provided enough attacking power. As a defender he has been more than ok. Our defensive unit is one of the best in the league, we had the most shut-outs didn’t we?

It seems like people think our attack will be revamped completely when we bring in new defenders, but trust me - it won’t!

I’m hoping we get some great players in, but I’m not expecting big differences.

The new full backs will offer much more than just defending. Young and Valencia given their respective age tend to support play rather than overlap. Both have had fantastic seasons for us given the stages in their career. Two new full backs of high quality instantly improve our team.

I’m not that sure. The system hamper our full backs a lot. Valencia is not worse than Tripper or Robertson in any way going forward, but our system is not as good at Spurs Liverpool. Valencia is 32 and has (probably) lost pace, but he was twice integral as a right winger for the best team in the PL. I find it hard to believe that he is not good enough going foward as a full back.

Valencia (my favourite player) as his attitude and commitment for United is first class. But he lost the ability to go past anyone when he was a winger. He’s not going to get that now he’s a full back. He’s improved massively as a defender and is great at carrying the ball forward and keeping possession but he’s brutal at crossing and refuses to take on a man nowadays. Great back up but needs replacing although not as much as left back.

Figured as much. I wonder what Jose really sees in him, by now it should be obvious that he's only really good enough to be a Plan B when shit hits the fan. That's something that a whole host of other players could provide with something more on top.

Him leaving would mean that we have to replace him, with Carrick leaving, we wouldn't have enough back up options. And a back up option would cost at least in the region of 30M€.

I think it's purely in terms of squad, he wants to focus on other areas of the pitch where it's more important to recruit rather than having to splash some of the money on a emplacement in that position.

If Jose was really rated him as much as some say in here, he would have been on the bench against Chelsea.

Yes he is. This blind loyality to mediocrity has to stop. He was once great, but he’s bloody past it. Why can’t everyone see that?

Fellaini is convinced he's some sort of superstar that won't renew at one of the biggest clubs in the world but he's only option is terrible Milan team who's fans don't want him .

Sooner he's gone the better.

Its been repeated like million times on this forum and everywhere else, valencia, he'll run to the side, then pass the ball back to herrera or pogba ( whichever midfielder is behind him ) then we switch the ball to the left flank.. rinse and repeat.. Got to stop this. Common denominators from last five years need to be changed.. Valencia and young or shaw need to be replaced.

I know not actually a transfer tweet but the noise was SMS is more likely to leave should Lazio not secure UCL and well....

Not sure if it was shown on TV but after our game last week at Watford he stayed back from the rest of the players and was gesturing to the crowd like it was a goodbye.
Now you mention it..

Sure thing.

Don't you just love how fans think waving goodbye to the fans on the last match of the season is a final goodbye.

Didn't he just say the other day about once a Mancunian always a Mancunian?

Quote me if you want to have a pop fella. Just wondered if it was shown on TV or not because it looked a bit weird.

It's not the first time he has left the pitch last. Considering it was also our last home game of the season - it's too be expected as he loves the old spotlight, but does talk up the fans a lot as seen on his twitter feed. Wouldnt look too much into it.

Yeah, I am hoping that is all it is.

If Chelsea get Sarri then prepare for an even more gut wrenching season to watch because we'll be the only top team without an exciting progressive manager then. Should of got Tuchel in.

Are you sure Chelsea will be successful?

 People being worried that Chelsea might get Sarri, the manager who has won feck all in his career.

What has Sarri done before he managed Napoli? He isn't exactly young and it seems weird that he has only become known very recently.
