No. Tanguy Ndombele.
I would absolutely love it if we signed this lad, amazing ability on the ball, can shoot, can pass and is a very powerful runner. If we signed him, Bailey and De Ligt that would be my dream transfer window. Young talents with potential to be world class, maybe even once in a generation players in the case of De Ligt and Ndombele

Proven quality with a 44 mill buyout clause no brainer you ask me. We only have 5 midfielders in Fred Pogba Matic Mctominay and Herrera. I believe Fellaini will leave giving us room for a 6th and an upgrade over Fellaini as well.

We can't go for every player available at a reasonable price.

If Fellaini goes then another midfielder is a possibility, but Kovacic still doesn't tick the boxes as to what we need following the signing of Fred. He'd be in competition with Fred, McTominay and Herrera for that role in midfield, we need cover for Matic more than anything. Or an actual replacement for Carrick that can dictate from deep. I've seen we've been linked to Pellegrini from Roma, he'd be a better compliment to what we now have.

We'd have considered him as an alternative to Fred I bet, and we've made the right choice imo.

Is he any good? Never heard of him, so my opinion depends on what you will say.

As the poster above mentioned he's a great dribbler and passer. Plays for France U21 and is highly promising. Lyon bought him from Amiens for 8M and he has a 20% signing on fee should he be moved to another team. Previously linked with Arsenal and Tottenham.

I would love for us to give Pereira a chance but Kovacic is proven quality. Very diffrent midfielders as well to be fair Pereira is more of a creater whereas Kovacic likes to dictate from deep.
For me, proven quality is a player like Thiago (who also happens to be available). I know he's highly rated, but I don't think he's good enough that he's a must. Isn't he more of a ball-carrier than controller anyway? Think we're more in need of the latter. I feel like he's similar to Fred in what he'll bring (energy, running, through balls).

Was my dream midfielder about 4/5 years ago. At the time, it was said that his discipline wasn't great. Has great ability, though, and if used correctly, would be a great buy for Arsenal.

Interesting...

Maybe we're going to hijack Nabil Fekir

Lukaku
Sanchez Fekir
Fekir is a quality CAM, but I would prefer if we hijack Mahrez. We need a RW.

Fekir to Real Madrid? Rofl, he has no place at all there, and if Kovacic finally leaves due to seeking more play time, I can picture them trying to get a defensive midfielder, not another Asensio or another Isco, moreso when Asensio and Isco have to fight with teeth and nails to get a place in the team. Nobody serious is talking about a potential Fekir signing here. It sounds like the typical "high pressure" maneuver by his agent towards Liverpool or whatever.

That's exactly what it is.

Agreed, it would be negligent to not give Shaw a few more years to show a glimmer of potential. It would be a crime against football to not allow him the time.

Only fair considering the effort he puts into keeping himself in match shape, with relatively modest compensation as well.
