True, but in all fairness, Liverpool and Real will command similar wages and they gave them a good go in the final, notwithstanding mistakes from someone in his position. That's why I think something like lifestyle could be a deciding factor. It could be the case if the clubs involved were, lets say, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool. But since its Real Madrid i believe even a hardcore Liverpool fan would pick the Spanish side.
The option is for the club to take. How do these "option for another season" things work? Do both club and player have to agree for it to be activated or can one side unilaterally trigger it?
Is he going to be given the chance to? I agree that his 2nd half of the season was strong, and is generally a good keeper. It'll be even more difficult for him to come back career-wise if the club bins him completely, as that's quite a kick in the confidence. But based on the magnitude of the errors, you can't really blame the club for wanting an upgrade.
He'd be difficult to sell on too, as he's going to be associated with those high profile errors for the foreseeable future. How could a buying club put a positive spin on that?
I want Tony to stay but I think he needs to put his effort into the side rather than his own ego. We are Manchester United, we don't get pushed over by players or agents, it's a honour to play for our club that many would dream of, it isn't to be taken for granted.
Look at the likes of Van Nistelrooy, you may be talented but without the Manchester United mentality, you may as well not even bother to turn up to training. We have our ways, based on respect and pride for the club and the fans.

What a difference a year makes. Roma paid 7.5m euros for him, not that long ago.Get the feck in! This guy is the AS Roma owner.
IIRC the whole of the Portugese u17 winning team had a back line who's first name was Diogo.Never heard the name Diogo before this window, now there's two of them.

Or Desmond Tu TuGood things come in two's...
Like Djemba-Djemba.
Said Alisson was close to Madrid and would cost €78m. And Naingolann will go to interThat's a weird way for the owner of Roma to refer to one of his own players. I'd take those quotes with a pinch of salt for now.
Manchester is huge though compared to little Liverpool. Crime rate is understandable.
The crime rate per population is the 2nd biggest. No way is the crime rate understandable, it's increased massively over the past few years. Violent crime has tripled since 2010 and up 60% from last year.
I'm surprised if you live there you haven't noticed the increase, unless you're one of the local hardmen lol. Maybe i've gone too soft moving down south!
Using “lol” these days really is unacceptable unless you’re 12.No surprise a Brazilian wants to live in Spain rather than England. To the United fans mocking Liverpool as a place to live, i'm guessing you've never visited Manchester lol. It's got the 2nd highest crime rate after London.
Certainly can't argue with any of that. I think best case scenario for him is we get a better 1st choice keeper and keep him as No.2 use him in the league cup and try to rebuild his confidence and then maybe try and move him on in a year or two unless he has shown significant improvement in the mean time.
I guess that'd bump Mignolet down the pecking order, though I predict he'd be easier to sell. Is Karius generally rated higher than Mignolet, Champions League final excluded?
You have no idea what you're talking about sadly. Nice try though!

Who says it is to do with weather?I really doubt a professional like Alisson would pick a club based on the weather of the city. That is lazy journalism. A lot of Brazilian players spend half their careers in Ukraine and you see no signal they are unhappy. The thing is that since kids they dream to play in the NT/Barcelona/Real.
I'm not really familiar with Alisson. is he a really good goalkeeper?
Didn't Mourinho previously say that any player who wants out will not be stopped from leaving? If so, back-tracking big-time come the reality ...

Yeah i guess the adults use the lol emoji like you have done in 2 of your last 3 posts "lol".
I think my point is clear. "Weather" was just a super simplification of the text to make it shorter and address the replies to that tweet.Who says it is to do with weather?
Why are we talking about crime rates?
I've lived fairly close to Liverpool all of my life and went to Uni there for four years. There are plenty of reasons to choose Real Madrid over Liverpool without even delving into a fair few of those. Besides, if he did move to Liverpool he'd be likely living outside of the City.I think my point is clear. Weather/language/culture/architecture/food, everything seems to be implied in the same package when journalists claim South American players prefer a move to Spain rather than to a club in some germanic-speaking city. And of course by germanic i'm referring to non-latin nations.

At Real, he'd get paid more, most likely win more and have a greater claim to being Brazil #1 for the foreseeable.
This is true. Also the competition with Ederson will be tougher after the wc and playing for Madrid is a huge advantage for sure.I've lived fairly close to Liverpool all of my life and went to Uni there for four years.
