Why am I not surprised?

Having said that, Cavani on the "cheap" would be a nice addition to the team. True no. 9 and very good all round game as well having that vital experience.

Maybe UEFA got a bit of pocket money. Why not just let them buy all the best players in the world, rule football for eternity or at least until Bill Gates buy a club.
They still don't win the CL though and that is what they want, just like City. They are a big club in a small league.

I thought the rules were clear, you spend more than you earn, you get punished. what decision is there to make? they spent far too much, didn't make enough, simple

No, but it's a bad precedent to set for the future. Imagine if City was buying Mbappe and Neymar in one window, we would all be fuming. The other teams in ligue 1 can't be too happy either.

I agree the punishment is not fitting the crime. So I presume UEFA is still on the take, even if FIFA supposedly isn't.

He is already bought.

Really? I thought he was on loan for the year with the option to buy this summer. Oh well you learn something new everyday

From Sky Sports 2017

Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of Kylian Mbappe from Monaco.

The 18-year-old striker joins on an initial season-long loan deal and will sign a permanent four-year contract next July, when PSG have an option to make the transfer permanent for a fee understood to be worth £166m.

The structuring of the deal, more expensive than any bar the Qatari-owned club's world-record purchase of Neymar earlier this month, has been agreed with an eye on UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules.

Was later reported to be an obligation assuming they didn't get relegated.

It's an obligation to buy, that's why they were supposed to put it in their current FFP records.
