Are you sure that he'll get more minutes? Don't you think that you'll buy 1 or 2 offensive players this summer? Where will he fit in? Would he be ok with going out on a loan - would 1 more season change anything for him? But I've really liked what I've seen from him, even if I haven't watched a lot of RM games.
Yes,I think that can get more minutes, besides it seems that Lucas Vázquez has lost prominence.
He was the first option in a quarter final of C.L and played a lot in the beginning of the season, not bad seeing the competence.
He can play on the left, right(yesterday) or even in the midfield.
Out of of that list, Varane is the only one I'd take. Is he available in the summer?
Madrid don't have too many CB.Vallejo will come back but is still very young to asume that will be an starter.
But yes,he could be available. He is the kind of player that never looks totally happy in the club.
Not the first time that I heard the "I decided to stay","Zidane convinced me..." Blabla

You realize you're not signing a player from Granada or Empoli, right? There's no fecking way we'd agree to let one of our best players go for money + one of your fringe players. Mariano and Nacho? ffs man
The transfers swapping top players never happen but a good amount of money +a squad player or a loan seems more realistic.
Obviously I mean 75/80m€+ Nacho.
Personally I wouldn't pay more

Point is why would any top clubs wants squad player in a swap deal? If anything they will just take the money than adding more deadwood.

Agreed, we won't get any Madrid player as part of the deal. We don't want their cast offs anyway.

Perhaps to "hide" the real cost of the player that bought alone would be more expensive.
Anyway, how much do you think that Kroos would cost?
If Pogba costs 100 then Kroos should be more.Young, with experience, a "final product" as posters use to say

But why would ManUtd help to hide the cost of the player? So what you are saying is (not saying it'l happen but from your post) Madrid to sign our best player and the best GK in the PL and probably the world and then give us some shit player and somehow think ManUtd will accept this to "hide" the real cost of the player. What's the profit for ManUtd in this?

Re Kroos, I don't know how much he is worth. It doesn't work like if Pogba is X then Kroos should be X+.

Exactly. It's either the player who is highly rated or just cash alone. Don't think De Gea will be sold though.

Mourinho seems the type who will let players go if their mind is at another club though.

If he is available I hope we look into getting him regardless of De Gea.

But same thing can be said about De Gea. He's 26 and is arguably the best GK in the world and will only improve. That's why this swap deal story has surfaced as it would take a ridiculous amount of money to get him.

£100m would be a steal for De Gea. You're buying the worlds best goalkeeper for the next 10 years.

I can't remember him ever selling a player he didn't want to sell, I guess Zlatan at Inter could be the exception

No, this swap deal story, which is not a story at all, surfaced when a twitter account mentioned United would ask for Kroos in exchange for De Gea. Here's what would actually happen:
Flo "we want De Gea, how much?"
Woody " we want Kroos"
Flo "No"
Woody "Kroos or no deal?"
Flo "No deal. Players we're willing to include in the deal are James/Isco/Danilo/Keylor/Morata/Varane"

Then it's up to Woody and De Gea...

And with all that said, we're not going to sign De Gea. You really need to relax, he's not going anywhere

But my point is, he might want to sell a player whose mind isn't at the club and who wants out. Especially going by his latest quotes.

The perspective at Manchester United for him is different, it's more of a "you should be lucky to play here, otherwise enjoy the beach or weather elsewhere".

Reality is that Real Madrid have Zidane in charge now. He is a lot more sensible and doesn't seem to give in to Perez's will. He seems to be more influential than Perez himself so any unneeded transfers won't happen.
What? No

I didn't say that United have to buy Nacho,I just said that considering the needs of the squad It could be a good option.
The other saleable players named have a very high market price.
As I said United should take the cash and buy somewhere else.
Nacho could be a very cheap substitute.
Of course if you think that we should pay 120m for de Gea,Kroos for De Gea,or 100+Varane the option of Nacho looks ridiculous.

Yeah it doesn't make sense to take some squad player like Nacho when we are desperate to improve our first 11. We have plenty of squad players.

End of the day it depends on how badly Madrid wants him and how badly De Gea wants the move.

Yep, Robben etc proved to be disastrous.

As would Kroos.
We aren't getting Kroos. Best midfielder for the best team in the world, constantly challenging for CL, we already passed up on the chance to sign him/he turned us down, an absolute fantasy.

Remember Makalele giorno?
Yes. He asked for a raise and Perez didn't like him and chose to sell. Same thing happened with Di Maria. When Kroos asked for a raise last fall, he got £163k a week after tax(€21M a year, or £17.8M)

We're not giving up kroos for de gea

No, he isn't. He's got a long way to go before he is in that bracket. I watch him a lot and hi is inconsistent.

I know he's not the finished article or as consistent as Griezmann yet, but in today's market he is easily worth a similar fee. The Pogba deal has set the precedent, I'm fairly confident he'll eventually end up going for more than Pogba when he does leave. Not that he'll be coming here however, more likely destined for Spain.

A little surprised more wasn't made of the photo of him with Pogba on instagram on Sunday night baring in mind how much a tabloid sensationalises everything else.

Him and Pogba are good buddies and even went holidaying together in off season.

You mean like Cesc wasn't? Lampard wasn't? Maniche wasnt? Modric wasnt? Deco wasn't?

Some people seem to think Jose just plays big brutes in midfield.
Or Wesley Sneijder who he built a CL winning team around...
