Kroos for De Gea would soften the blow, but it's still a blow. De Gea is the best in the world...
Maybe wants to play in the PL?We can demand Kroos, but why would he want to join us?

What type is he? We're dying for a combative midfield disrupting Cnut to be the Bain of the league.
You're probably right. That's said, I wouldn't rule it out altogether. Kroos was very close to joining us at one point, and that was with a much lesser Manager than we have now. There must have been something about the league and club that intrigued him somewhat, even if only the money. Really, he didn't necessarily have a reason to leave Bayern - maybe he's a fellow who likes challenges and new experiences. Also, if Madrid really want De Gea that much, which they almost certainly do, then it would be foreseeable that they would force Kroos out in order to make the deal happen. They've forced very good players out before, and will undoubtedly do it again. It's not the best way to secure a player, but it could happen. Moreover, Mourinho is no pushover and he seemingly has a good relationship with Madrid. If he really wants Kroos (or another player in return), he'll push hard to make it happen. Can't see Kroos happening. I see De Gea going there and us getting no one in return to be honest. I think Real will either win the CL or be very close again this year and so I can't see why Kroos, who almost always starts, would even think about leaving.
Yeah put him on ignore.Miguel Delaney is tiresome.
Reasons why Kroos will never want to come to United
1. He's an important component of the Real Madrid midfield; he's a guaranteed first 11 player.
2. He's already won the Champions League last season and he's also guaranteed Champions League every season at Madrid.
3. He has a manager in Zidane who he gets along with very well.
4. United can't guarantee Champions League (just yet...)
5. Zidane and Perez may not want to sell him at all.
Reasons why Kroos will want to come to United
1. United will pay him through the roof and he would want a large pay raise since he's 27 and will want to get paid more before he hangs up his boots.
2. Kroos wants a change and a new challenge and may want to try his luck in the PL.
Madrid are also known for unceremoniously ditching their players - Robben, Sneijder, Khedira, Van Der Vaart, Ozil, Alonso, Di Maria spring to mind.
I don't think getting Kroos is likely, but United are in no pressure to sell De Gea. So if we were to sell, De Gea would cost about £50-60m in transfer value and we may well ask for a player in return (say Kroos or Varane).people actually believe we'd get rid of our best midfielder for a gk
Moyes and Van Gaal really did a number on you guys

I think most people only believe this is because its real madrid. Getting rid of players because they are ugly/not the hottest name/not the flavour of the month is your club's day to day routine. If it was juve/munich or someone else id laugh at this. As it is madrid and florentino is one egomaniac, who will want a galectico, it seems plausible.people actually believe we'd get rid of our best midfielder for a gk

Do they tend to sell important starting CMs or CBs though? Genuine question.Yeah Real Madrid getting rid of an important cog in midfield for a needless galactico. Where have I heard that before?
Will probably try to get someone else? Not sure who that might be...What if De Gea says that he wants to leave but Kroos doesn't want? United will refuse to negociate because they can't complete their demand?.
I think that Casemiro will be in the press, since he is in talks to renew(but he will stay). Will probably try to get someone else? Not sure who that might be...

Varane,James,Danilo,Morata?,Mariano,Nacho.
Considering that the deal would be money+player=De Gea I'd say that the best options are Nacho Or Mariano.
Danilo is awful and James although is good has the risk of becoming a Di María 2.0.
United should use the money to buy somewhere else

Obviously the latest one was Di Maria, but he had a one off blinder of a season, and was more of an attacking presence than an important factor in what made the team tick.
Casemiro is probably 'untouchable'. Agree about James, great ability but not sure if he'll fit this team. What about Marco Asensio? Will he be in Real Madrid's plans for next season? How has his season been this far (I've only seen 2-3 RM games this season)?I think that Casemiro will be in the press, since he is in talks to renew(but he will stay).

And the negotiations would break down and we would look elsewhere for a gk.I don't think getting Kroos is likely, but United are in no pressure to sell De Gea. So if we were to sell, De Gea would cost about £50-60m in transfer value and we may well ask for a player in return (say Kroos or Varane).

We sold players Perez didn't like. He likes Kroos, just made him the third highest paid player on the team. There is absolutely no way he's selling Kroos to sign a goalkeeper. I don't even think he'd sell him for Dybala or Neymar.Yeah Real Madrid getting rid of an important cog in midfield for a needless galactico. Where have I heard that before?
Asensio is too good.He can be the best spanish player in a few years. The only option would be a loan and It seems that next season will get more minutes.Casemiro is probably 'untouchable'. Not sure how Real Madrid thinks, but wouldn't it be a good thing to have a Spanish national team player in the team? In this case a goalkeeper? The more RM players in the NT the better? Or isn't this something that clubs care about? Just something I was thinking. We sold players Perez didn't like. He likes Kroos, just made him the third highest paid player on the team. There is absolutely no way he's selling Kroos to sign a goalkeeper. I don't even think he'd sell him for Dybala or Neymar.
And that'd be perfectly fine for United. And the negotiations would break down and we would look elsewhere for a gk.
Are you sure that he'll get more minutes? Don't you think that you'll buy 1 or 2 offensive players this summer? Where will he fit in? Would he be ok with going out on a loan - would 1 more season change anything for him? But I've really liked what I've seen from him, even if I haven't watched a lot of RM games.Asensio is too good.He can be the best spanish player in a few years. The only option would be a loan and It seems that next season will get more minutes.
Out of of that list, Varane is the only one I'd take. Is he available in the summer?I think that Casemiro will be in the press, since he is in talks to renew(but he will stay).

170 mil. please. Otherwise look for another GK.I think that Casemiro will be in the press, since he is in talks to renew(but he will stay).
