£40million for Morgan and Memphis is a deal we should accept. We recoup a large portion of the money we spent on two players who are clearly not in our future plans, given how little game time they've gotten. Snap their hands off.

No way we should loan Martial, though, we are desperately lacking in attackers and pace.

£40 million for Depay and Schneiderlin sounds about right when you consider they're not even getting on our bench lately.

But than again considering the money that's going around in EPL and how Everton ripped us off for Fellaini...

Who is Gomes? Don't you guys mean Renato Sanches?

Im sold on Nelson Semedo. Most impressive highlights I've ever seen for a fullback. The amount of assists and goals we would get from him are ridiculous.

I don't get these "ripped us off for Fellaini" posts. You had a moron for a manager.

If Everton were willing to pay £30m for Bolasie then I think we should ask for more. The market has gone mad. I'm fed up of us selling players at a loss.

Depay is younger than Bolasie, actually had a stand out season (ok in the Dutch league but still). Surely he is worth more than Bolasie.

We sell at a loss because we overpay in the first place. What the hell is Depay doing on £100k a week wages? Of course we're going to struggle to sell these flops when potential buyers aren't daft enough to pay them such ludicrous wages. As for Bolasie, it's always going to cost more to buy a key player from Palace than to buy a dud from United. We want rid of Depay, Palace didn't want to sell Bolasie.

But this is the problem though, both players are being regarded as duds when they haven't even had a chance to prove themselves.

Both players have never been given an prolonged opportunity under both managers imo. Depay is a confidence player, any time he has played for the Dutch he has looked very good and one of their key players. Problem with United if he had one bad game he didn't start the next.

Look at the difference in Herrera this season now he is consistently playing week in week out. They have lost all value because of poor management. We will no doubt sell both players for a massive loss and they will both show their quality when given a chance to play every week.

They make me cringe. Not only did we have a moron for a manager and a rookie CEO, Fellaini was an important player for Everton, coming off a great season. Schneiderlin and Depay are overpaid (at or above Everton's top earners I would imagine) and can't even make the bench for us. There is such a huge difference in the two situations it's laughable to want to use their sales to exact some kind of revenge on Everton for standing their ground.

That being said, Everton are recently rich, and there is likely to be competition for the two players, so I would still expect us to try to get the best possible deal. 40m seems a good deal for all parties imo.

Yeah, but how much say in the fee does the manager have exactly? I expect very little, other than "David, we're ready to go on this deal, it's £27m, are you happy?" "Yeah, okay, whatever."

Fellaini would have cost 23m in July but Moyes didn't want to make him his first signing

I doubt he wanted him at all. I should imagine Fellaini was well down the list of targets but when it looked like he wouldn't sign anyone, we panicked.

I don't like the Martial stories. He hasn't started the season brilliantly, but offloading him would be fecking daft.

Good thing Bouhafsi says we want to keep him.

They are only saying that because his buy-out clause is 80M. We obviously aren't going to pay that much but it makes the story sound more interesting.
And the fact that the fee may be more than Renato Sanches, who is currently the most expensive Portugese league player ever.

Absolutely. The perfect successor for Valencia and a brilliant talent.

Excellent additions.

Particularly excited about nelson semedo, I know YouTube vids can make players look better than they are but that kid looks special.

Bolasie has actually had a few decent games in the premier league. He's worth more than Memphis, who's done nothing.
