You know you're in deep shit when you have a bid for Phil fecking Jagielka rejected.

Why? Moyes doesn't use scouts, he only signs his ex-players :p
It just seems hard to believe he's pinning his hopes on 34 year old Phil Jagielka having already signed Pienaar, Anichebe and Lescott but I guess that's about par for Moyes.

Bloody hell, Moyes really doesn't have an original bone in his body.

You can just picture him doing a Nicolas Cage from gone in 60 seconds going through his little black book of numbers seeing if any fancy joining him.

To China? Hard do say, but no less then 30m GBP considering the money they are spending.

Pretty sure Rooney won't be interested in China whatever the money. The US, maybe.

Watford trying to replenish their ranks from Italian links by Italian owners for an Italian coach, call them Watfordese. :D

Good move if true. A much better platform for him to improve rather than getting involved in a relegation fight with Hull.
Definitely. But I think it was a bit premature; nothing wrong with staying at Genk until the summer. However, I've heard from Belgian reports that his foster-father/agent Craig Butler had a bit of a falling out with Genk because they wouldn't play Leon's 'half-brother' Kyle Butler, so they pushed for the move now. Leverkusen are buying Bailey and Kyle Butler, and the latter is going to go on loan to Belgian club Oostende. I've mentioned stuff about him in Bailey's own thread but Craig Butler really is dodgy.

Exactly what are you referring to here? No one has given him stick?

He'd be crazy to turn that down. Shanghai is built for people with a lot of money to spend and he can get fat on whatever western fast food he wants without people complaining.
Can you read? Many people wishing him to leave now. He's just broke the record and people want him gone already. Ridiculous

So you're suggesting the idea of getting huge money for a past the hill player and reducing our wage bill by 200-300k a week is an absolute joke? Because he just passed a record? Got ya. Do let us know when it's safe to suggest we can let him go.

Why is it justified then? You would be happy to just pack a legend off?
It's justified because he's not good enough anymore and hasn't been for a number of years. Had SAF not retired when he did then Rooney would've been long gone in my opinion.

Do you want to find where I said that? He will go in the summer. I never said that's not what I would want. I was referring to how some of our fans on here talk about him.

True, I would have him stay until the summer, but I think playing in a much better league, his development would improve playing with much better players. He will have to compete with the likes of Brandt, Çalhanoğlu, Kampl, Volland, and Bellarabi, so it'd be a good test for him. Heck, Brandt Çalhanoğlu might leave in the not too distant future. Even if he were to stay til summer at Genk, I'm doubtful he would be at the stage of his career to be a first teamer for a club like ours at the moment. In a season or two, I can see him make that leap if his development trajectory stays on track.

Yeah I've heard they're meant to sign Kyle as well in the deal but had no idea about loaning him to Oostende. Will keep an eye on him as well.
