Sky:
UPDATE ON VILLA FEES

Aston Villa have been busy boys today, signing James Bree from Barnsley and Birkir Bjarnason from Basel FC.

We understand the fees paid are:

Bree - £1.4m & Bjarnson - £1.75m

Very smart business from Villa today.

United should be all over this player. He is the closest thing I have seen to a young Thierry Henry. We should try and get his team mate Thomas Lemar as well.

I don't think he is going anywhere. He wants to play as much as possible and Monaco already rejected 50m offers, my guess is that he is at Monaco for at least two more years.

You're probably in the know but who would you say are the hottest properties in France as far as young players go

Disgusting. Bayern as usual cherry-picking talents from their own league. This is why the Bundesliga is a one-horse race every year. There's a reason Monaco have never won the Bundesliga.

I don't know. Mbappé, Harit, Blin, Nkunku, Ikoné, Kinpembe, Malang Sarr, Cyprien, Issa Diop, Alban Lafont, Diakhaby and others. That's the ones that play regularly but there is a lot more that I forgot or are less developed.

What would you think, if he was our centre back signing during the summer? He looks very talented and like somebody not to miss out on, at the same time adding another young player isn't necessarily what our central defence needs.

He is already good enough to start for a team like Nice, so he shouldn't swap 50 games per year for 20 games with us.

Closest thing since the last 'young Thierry Henry' we signed from Monaco? The cycle never ends!

Also good for him and our national team.. Much more harder games than in the Swiss league.

That's true, but he's sacrificing Champions League football for the shite Championship football.

He's definitely gotten a pay rise, though.

the next messi at one point of time.

God, I don't like when people say these things about kids. Strongly believe that it is one of the reasons he is such a "look at me I'm better than the rest" atitude, more selfish than Robben, little prick, but great talent. If he can sort his head out, and get firmly down on the ground, he can be fantastic. Still optimistic for young man, but.. Kinda Croatian version of Januzaj, bigger talent, but more screwed up as well, I think, also surounded by "yes" people..

Yeah. And they already have Dembele playing for their B team... Truly digusting

Seems like a big loan fee for a team like las Palmas to pay for 6 months, they must be real likely to make that permanent unless he really struggleds there.

Funny how West Ham have suddenly decided to cough up over £10 million for Snodgrass after trying to rip Hull off with derisory £3 million bids. Amazing what another club being in for your transfer target can do. Hope it escalates into a bidding war and West Ham are forced to pay over the odds for a 30 year old approaching the end of his contract.

Karren Brady showing off those negotiation skills she acquired off The Apprentice. Well done.

That sounds exactly what Boro need.

Signing a Spaniard accustomed to the glamour of Paris (and previously Madrid) to help them in a relegation dogfight on sunny Teeside.

They're already a good team defensively so adding some quality in attack is a good idea.

I was referring to the expectation that he'll settle immediately, under new and testing conditions. He's joining Hull on loan because they can pay his wages.

Easy to judge quickly. Yes money is a factor but I'm sure hes keen to play football which would have also had an affect on his decision.
