The fact that he's just been given a new contract and is used frequently suggests you're wrong there.

I take it that you think having him as the only backup and the fact he will start a lot of games is not a problem?

Because every Scandinavian person is exactly the same.

Way to try and turn that into something for no reason. Over the years Scandanavian players have settled into England and English football with a very high success rate, I meant nothing more than that.

Way to use lazy stereotyping to make a random post on the internet. I called you out on it, it doesn't matter if they have a high success rate for settling.

It doesn't matter what I think, nor what you think with regards to his transfer and his place in the team being an issue, it only matters what Mourinho thinks and it appears he isn't going to be sold any time soon.

Shame. Remember watching him when he played for Partizan and later for Benfica. Everyone with influence in our football was advising him that moving to Liverpool wouldn't be the right move in that point in his career but he wouldn't listen.

We had such high hopes for him in our national squad as well.

Why would a player's likely ability to settle in a new league/country not matter? I would think it's quite important when deciding whether to sign someone.

No, it's a valid pattern that shows Scandanavian's settle into this country and league well, you just tried to start shit like a typical net warrior looking to be a dick, you succeeded, well done.

Because you can't just make blind assumptions.

The blind assumption was 'he's Danish so he'll be alright' as if every Danish person ever has been amazing, it's just lazy at best and, if used in the wrong tone, xenophobic.

You portrayed it as if he'd be a perfect little Solskjaer replica, happy to come here and sit on the bench because of Zlatan.

You know nothing about him. What if his ambition is to displace Zlatan and that causes issues?

Somebody made a comment about Marco Silva making shrewd moves buying players he's used to working with before and knows he can really on it a dogfight...

Now Markovic. Almost guaranteed to go completely missing anytime he plays.

Like I said, little net warrior trying to start something out of nothing, grow up.

I was on Readytogo to see their opinions on Januzaj and saw that PVA isn't popular there, most of them are sick of him (and basically everyone except Defoe).

That was me. Can't say the signing of Markovic fills a person with confidence though...:nervous: Although, how many options do they have, really? It's not like they have a wide collection of the world's finest wingers willing to join a relegation dog-fight.

Good to see Sunderland are continuing on their mission to do the rest of the league a favour by relegating themselves.

They can have CBJ on loan. he could do with some premier league games and cant be a downgrade on van Aanholt as a defender.

Haven't they just signed Draxler plus already have a few wingers?

He's been playing more centrally for Benfica this season and that's how he reclaimed his place in their starting eleven. Maybe that's how Emery intends to use him as well.
