Agreement reached for Ricardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg to AC Milan: €15M + €3M add ons. And 4 years contract for him.

Milan doing some really solid business with Kessie/Rodriguez, they'll be worth keeping an eye on in the next few years. Did they make CL next season?

Ricardo Rodriguez hasn't been good for a while now. He's one of those players who everyone still thinks is a top LB when in reality he's lost his pace and explosiveness and has been playing as a CB for the best part of the season. He was always average defensively but it was masked by his speed.

Kessie on the other hand is a cracking signing.

Milan are not messing about.

Sad thing is we could have actually really used Kessie and Rodriguez and for those prices would have snatched their hand off.

Good deals from Milan. Also shows you can still buy quality players without paying silly money if you know where to look.

Rodriguez has been quite average to poor for Wolfsburg for the last two seasons.

Don't know about Kessie but Rodriguez has been poor to average for the last two seasons whilst Mussachio has played around 50 league matches for Villareal in the last three seasons. Hence the cheapish price.

How has he lost his pace? Genuine question because I've not heard of any injuries and he's still quite young no?

I agree with most you have said, but saying speed is one of his strenghts is just laughable.

His defending is average at best and he is sometimes running like a clueless chicken. He is not fast and his right foot is crap.

He has a great left foot and his crossings are great..also his standards, but he is a limited player. The price is fair though and it shows that Wolfsburg really wanna get rid of him due to his hefty salary.

Musacchio played 2000mins this season which is almost the last two seasons put together. He's getting over his injuries and whenever he does play Villarreal look far better defensively. As witnessed last season, 12 starts and 10 clean sheets.

Always looks average every time I see him for Inter. Surely there must be better out there or is it just Jose doing Inter a favour.

It's probably his agent leaking this nonsense to the press. Wouldn't be the first time our name has been used by agents to draw interest in their clients or secure them new and improved contracts.

We seem to get named in every transfer rumour from the top down to non-league.
