Didn't we get linked with Marquinhos recently?
Yes have been quite a few times, he usually signs a new contract not long after. PSG do need to move on a few players, they won't want another season of lagging behind Monaco, the need some fresh players who will be up for a challenge. Some of their players have gotten too comfortable.

I hope Jose is interested in Pepe. Free transfer, world class CB, still maybe ~two good seasons to give.

Maybe the Marquinhos links could amount to something this year with Pepe moving to PSG.

World class? I don't think so. He's a good CB but he's 34 and a loose cannon.

Surely a move to a bigger club will be on the cards? Although seeing how he does for a smaller club would be good too.

Whoops thought it was Benficas Semedo. Havent a clue who this guy is!

If thats the Sporting CB, he's an absolute beast on this FM  for that alone, we should sign him up!

They'd do well to move him on, I feel. I've never rated him, he runs down a blind alley far too often for my liking. Mind you, that might be enough to make him stand out a little in Italy.

Not exactly reliable but maybe its worth reopening the transfer forum thread.

People will think it won't happen because there hasn't been a year long lead up, but Madrid have looked better with Isco on the right instead of Bale and Asensio does look the business.

I think Bale would be expensive in that he'd fit Chelsea brilliantly too. If Conte doesn't want him, maybe he'd cost a ton instead of a comical amount.

Obviously if he's healthy, he'd be worth it, even if it costs another 80M. He's not brilliant at linking up or in possession but he's a monster of an attacker and a proper goalscorer who has consistently been about 1 in 2 over the last 5 years, and that's not as a 9.

 Seems like the type of transfer Juve pull off for about €22m while the rest of us are left scratching our heads

They are definitely doing well in terms of signings. If Simeone does leave and he goes to Inter, it could make things more interesting there. Coupled with Milan potentially wanting to spend a lot of money and Roma hiring Monchi, I really hope the league gets a bit more competitive.

I said a juicy tweet, not a tweet to stamp on my muppet heart! :(

Couldn't resist, when it came up on my twitter timeline. I think we'll have a similar summer like last year's, so I'm not worried, even if miss out on Tolisso and Fabinho.

Sure I read something about Tolisso being signed a while ago by Juve?

Yeah, I've read that, too. I am already resigned to the fact that he's going there. Shame, because he definitely looks like a Mourinho midfielder.

It's ok. We can make ourselves feel better by forking out £80 million for Dybala and then have ourselves investigated by FIFA for it roughly a year later.

The Fabinho one would worry me simply because I feel we need a true holding midfielder and not only is he very good at it, there are so few of them around of the level required.

Thats a lot, considering they pulled out of the Koulibaly deal last summer with a bid of 47m pounds, where Napoli wanted 60m i think.
Yes that is. If he is to move, he'll become the most expensive defender of all time. Would be near perfect for us as a LCB though.

I honestly think Danilo wouldn't be much worse than Fabinho. There's also Paredes and perhaps Mourinho fancies one of Jorginho or Diawara. Recently Kovacic has really impressed me in that role. He looked a lot more mature and his decision making was better. Naby Keita can play that role, even if it would restrict him similarly to Tolisso, but both are good at it. And I wouldn't rule out Weigl entirely (even if I'm going to summon that weird dude, who can see the future and is telling everyone there's no chance of that happening).

I think Fabinho is a bit more cultured all round than Damilo (Porto one, right?) and while I like Paredes my gut feeling is that he's not defensive enough for Jose and not experienced enough. Keita is awesome but buying him and then not playing him to his strengths would be criminal IMO, he's so talented and dangerous in attack, he needs to play box to box. Haha! careful mate, mentioning Dortmund players is his equivelant of saying Candyman 5 times in the mirror. :D

Yes, the one from Porto. I'd prefer Fabinho to Danilo as well, I just think the difference isn't that huge and the latter has impressed me often enough this season. Ultimately it hinges on whether Mourinho is going to opt for the 4-3-3 next season. If Griezmann signs, I can see us sticking with the 4-2-3-1 though.

If he sticks with the 4-2-3-1 I can see some problems in truth, we will need the right #9 for him as well, so getting Morata in the De Gea deal would make sense IMO.

I never said this year mata has been worse then silva. Overall Silva has been twice the player of Mata, his ability to score, pass and run past men is better. Mata will never be world class, he is a luxury player. We can't afford to carry people if going for a title. Don't rate mata as highly as the CAF seems to
I also agree that Silva is the better player. But if there is one aspect that he is worse than Mata, it is his finishing. Mata outscores Silva almost every season.

You just need two functioning brain cells to know that Weigl is going to move nowhere and he has confirmed that he is going nowhere in the near future, but how could you know, as you have obviously no clue what you are talking about. Zero chance. Same for Keita..RB has ruled out any possibility of him leaving.
