Bayern have been quite heavily linked with Walker.
This would sort of shock me, since Bayern is so smart normally.
Ancelotti does have his FBs attacking quite high up - I thought both Alaba and Lahm were pretty damn aggressive against Real and Dortmund these past few weeks - so I suppose that would suit Walker.
Walker will be 27 in a month, and top 300 starts in his career. Is that too late to cut out the idiotic mistakes? You would think so, but it's not unheard of, and he shouldn't start to lose pace for another 4-5 years.
I think City would make more sense for him, as they so badly need some athleticism at FB, and Guardiola can live with defensive errors as his teams are often happy to beat you 3-2 instead of 1-0. Have to think Spurs would rather sell to a foreign buyer, but if it's 45M from City and 25M from Bayern, that's not really a choice.
If I was Pochettino I'd be trying to scrape up all the money I could raise to buy a proper devastatingly fast winger or forward. I really think they need more pace in their attack in big games, especially with Kane their 9 for the foreseeable future. Not sure who exactly it would be, but someone to do what Son has done this year but may not be able to replicate year after year. Or they could even play a sort of box midfield with Alli and Eriksen in front of Wanyama and Dembele with Kane and a pacy striker, if they can buy whoever the next Griezmann type out there is.
