Honestly, City buying every midfielder in the world nonsense is getting boring. When is someone going to ask why they are spending the amounts they are, season in, season out despite not filling their stadium and having limited commercial success?
And what's Pep going to do when he goes to PSG and realises there's no one else left to buy?

We need at least two good midfielders and should be concentrating on filling these positions. Go all out to convince them.
Honestly believe that's where our efforts should be at the present time.

As I said earlier - Renowned PED user. Will fit right in.

I'm not bothering translating it but seems they've got it from The Sun (so load of shit):

Selon les informations du Sun, un autre élément non négligeable pourrait faire capoter l’affaire. D’après le média britannique, la femme de Lucas, Larissa Saad, se ser

Basically the equivalent of the Express quoting Don Balon - ignore.

We are the biggest club in the world mate. City is not even close. They have bought a good team, thats it.

Serious footballers still want to play for the biggest clubs in the world. To say to your grandchildren that you player for United, Real or Barca is just something else.

This part is absolutely true.

Maybe they are trying to fill their stadium with players instead of fans?

Translation: The sale of Ezequiel Barco just closed. He is a new player of Atlanta United. 15 million dollars + 30% sellon until 31/12/2019 and after that date 10% sellon.

Not a European transfer but this will be the MLS record transfer (amounts to 11 million pounds), huge for the league. One of the best young talents in Argentina, starting for Independiente at the age of 18. Was the best player in the Copa Sudamericana final, where Vinicius Jr. also played coming of the bench for Flamengo. Barco is costing 30 million pounds less than Vinicius is for Real and has received interest from Atletico and Valencia. Great business by Atlanta, should develop well under Tata Martino and be sold for big profit in 2-3 seasons

He's ace on Fifa 18 :D

Sounds like Di Maria's wife is having an affair with Lucas and doesn't want him to leave :p

Lucas' wife had a conversation with Di Maria's wife about life in England and she did not receive a glowing review. She'd rather stay in Paris with their 2 month old baby.

How a journalist would be able to get this type of info however, I don't know.

Agreed.

‘If you bring one player in for £100m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney,’ said Klopp.

‘The day that this is football, I’m not in a job anymore, because the game is about playing together

‘That is how everybody in football understands it. You always want to have the best, but building the group is necessary to be successful.

‘Other clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.'

This is going to be one of those transfers no-one ever really knows the full value of, a bit like our Lukaku deal.

Either way, as good as he was last season, he's looked nowhere near that player this season. This probably has a lot to do with him imminent transfer and I'm not saying that he's not worth getting in, but for the money Liverpool are paying they're having their pants pulled down. Even with the market the way it is. Same with Van Dijk. Given our transfer dealings under Moyes and LVG, we know a thing or two about that.

Oh well get him in.
Although we're still short. Mane/Salah to Ox is just too big a drop off in the front three it isn't good enough. Ox plays best in midfield altho hopefully Keita provided we get him in can mean we play a better balanced midfield more often.

Still was lovely having the previous four to rotate and bring off the bench. We need to get that back as soon as possible for any future success.

Liverpool fans will say it was £35 million and everyone else will pick the highest reported fee from any old Twitter account with more than 50 followers and treat that as gospel, eventually changing from euros to pounds. That's how these things are done I think.

Keita, a promising young midfielder for almost the same price as a once in a generation midfielder like Pogba. He was definitely a bargain at that price; how did Mourinho predict it so accurately?

£35 million is the standard fee we resort to.

When selling players it’s usually at least £50 million per player, plus a buy back option that we’re too proud to cash in on.
