Seems like a decent fee as well. Leicester should rip them off after the sale of Coutinho.

That would be amazing business for Liverpool. 26 year old EPL player of the year for €55M.

Why can't we sign these quality players like Mahrez? He has been available since last summer and we need RW. Pl proven too and not so expensive. Feck, just don't get it. Do Jose really like only workhorses?

The crying and tantrums are so tiresome every single time our rivals sign a player.

Every single year without fail it's "Can't believe we aren't in for him".

And apparently it'll be Woodward's fault for us not signing Mahrez even though there's been nothing to indicate that Mourinho would even want to sign him.
I think that we aim higher. Much higher. Griezmann, dybala, bale... because if we wanted mahrez we would buy him 1.1.2018.
So we didn't want him but i am unhapy that we didn't.

Yeah like Perisic.

The thing is, Klopp will probably turn Mahrez into a workhorse that never stops running.

Why hasn’t anyone else signed him? He was available.

I think Woodward is not interested in him because he knows Ozil will be coming for us? and Mourinho said there are going to be a big signing, possibly worth over 100m. I can't see why we want to sign Mahrez if we want Ozil and big signing names um summer.

Yeah but that's because they would improve our team. You telling me you wouldn't prefer the likes of Salah or Mahrez over Mata / Mkhi on the right?

Woodward isn't interested because Mourinho isn't interested. Fairly straightforward. And I agree it is likely we'll get Ozil and a big name.

Yeah I think you´ll get Ozil, too.

But what if the club already have summer targets for this position? Everything may already be laid out for attaining players for our right side. There are many players other than Mahrez.

Whoever it is, it's a mistake to not be in for Mahrez when we specifically need exactly what he brings (just as we did with Mané).

Added to the fact we can outprice Liverpool both in fee and wages and it's a signing that, for me personally, stings more than any in recent memory.

I'd view it as a mistake from Utd.

Excellent signing for Liverpool but still a downgrade on Coutinho. I think Liverpool will be very good in the second half of the season and genuinely think they'll come second.

Yeah. We need to stop signing shit like Pogba and Martial.

I'd prefer Ozil and a young winger in the Kluivert/Malcom mould than just to get in a bidding war over Mahrez. That being said I think he'd be a good signing for them.

Where does Mahrez fit into their team? He won't displace Salah on the right. Doesn't make much sense, just like the Goretzka talk.

I like Mahrez but there doesn't seem to be queue for him and I wonder why?

So frustrating. He’ll go there and everyone will wonder why we didn’t sign him, so predictable.

If Liverpool get Mahrez and Van Dijk in the Jan window, Ed Woodward and Mourinho don't deserve to be managing United since they haven't addressed our weaknesses. Liverpool were playing great football without Coutinho this season and if they were to go and get Mahrez, it would be a slap on our faces considering he's the player we actually need on the RW. I swear since SAF left, this club is going to the dogs.

Mods what the feck?

Yeah. We need to stop signing shit like Pogba and Martial.

Actually Mahrez is better than Martial. And much better than Mata. We have done some good signings but there's not enough quality and creativity in our team. Mahrez is creative and skillful player and we lack players like that.

What? Our team is filled with creative and skillful players; and lacking a player that can stretch the pitch and put in a good cross.

Martial, Lingard, Mata, Pogba are all creative and skillfull players that operate through the middle. Mahrez would be the 5th or 6th player we've bought that likes to cut inside.
