Mahrez thrives on open space, don't know why most want him here when we play against packed defences most weeks.
Doesn't every attacker thrive in open space? Also, Mahrez's skillset is extremely good to use against tight defenses. He's a tricky dribbling who draws defenders and creates space for other teammates.

Yes obviously, but some rely on that open space more than others. Mahrez has struggled when teams sit deep (admittedly so has his club which will play a part).

To portray an image of it you wouldn't say Robben struggles against packed defences whilst he also obviously plays better with lots of open space. Rashford also is another that struggles when teams sit deep.

We've had enough chances to buy him, Jose clearly doesn't fancy him.

Annoying to see Liverpool get him, when we have a hole there, but hopefully we have better things on the horizon.

We were heavily linked with Mahrez on transfer deadline day last summer weren't we?

Think he could be a great player for us, so I hope we are at least interested in him.

This.

Could’ve had him the past number of transfer windows but chose not to. He’s a proven, solid, creative player but not one I think José fancies in terms of fitting the wide play he prefers. Especially since we already have a limited wide player in Martial on the left who doesn’t have much crossing ability.

Always said Italian clubs rate Darmian highly. Wouldn't surprise me if the Juventus links were solid.

The over-rating of Mahrez in here is absolutely mindboggling.

This. You'd think a bigger club would have snapped him up by now - almost all the other good Leceister players have already left for better clubs except Vardy (Arsenal wanted him but he declined them so he could have been off as well) and Mahrez (I don't consider Roma a top club since the most Italian teams except Juve are underwhelming these days).

Not sure about Mahrez for us. He does terrific things and terrible things. We have one or two of those already.

If anything he is underrated. Never seen a title winning player of the year get so little credit for his achievements.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if we were interested in him he'd already be here by now. I find it strange that he's not moved to a bigger club yet (Sorry to any Leicester fans on here) There's obviously something all the big clubs are unsure about him.

Good thing Mahrez can cross then init?

Mahrez would do very well at Liverpool. We should be quite worried about those swines. I don't personally rate Coutinho as a world-class player, he's very replaceable in my opinion and bringing in Mahrez (prem proven, quality attacker), VVD (huge improvement for their weak defence) and Keita (solid improvement on their midfield) would be very good business by them to be honest.

Sling a new GK in there and they're going into next season looking like potential title-contenders I reckon. Makes me sick to write that.

It would be a bit of a strange transfer given that Mahrez plays in the same position as Salah (who's been easily their best player this season).

Maybe Klopp will play with a 4-4-2, as Salah mainly tries to get behind the defensive lines anyway.

Firmino Salah
Mane Henderson Can Mahrez

You mean

Firmino Salah
Mane Lemar Keita Mahrez

Defense I don´t know her. :p

Good job somebody does. They clearly don't watch the premier league that's all I know

Replace can with keita. I think Liverpool will just want to get a name in, just to appease the fans. What they should do is buy a goalkeeper, a really top one to make their squad even better. They already have keita coming in and they have chamberlain, solanke, brewster etc.

That's a good shout. Mahrez for Coutinho isn't really a like for like replacement, but I guess it doesn't have to be with a change in system.

They should buy a specialist DM, with how they like to expose their defence and all. Hendo la isn't good enough, or a specialist.

Tevez leaving China after a successful season that saw him cash €2.5M per match or €10M per goal.
Meanwhile Chinese media saying Aubameyang headed to Guangzhou Evergrande for €72M in the summer.

Not really. All that means is he's willing to forego a signing-on fee to get the deal done.
I know it's just hilarious and sad at the same time. I always thought we'd convince him to stay till the summer but looking back he's given a 100 percent but as soon as Barca ask him to do anything he's done so in a heartbeat. They've really gotten in to his or his entourage's heads. Just last January he was talking about competing with Barca for trophies after signing the contract, it's a pretty dramatic turnaround.
He's a super player though and deserves to be at a club pushing for the biggest honours and he's been here long enough and watched us fail thus far in that respect.

I don't quite understand it either.
I reckon he'd end up being very similar to what Mata has been. Decent, but not the absolute top of league class we need, and thought we saw at his previous club
