Like I said, get a DoF then. Somebody with football experience/knowledge is the only person who should be disagreeing with Mourinho on matters of which specific players to sign, and not a bunch old men who know nothing about the sport and come from completely unrelated working backgrounds.
If you have Ed Woodward and the Glazers telling Mourinho he can't sign Danny Rose as they don't think he's good enough or fits the team, you might as well have them picking the starting XI FFS.

I can't see negatives with extending their contracts for another year, as it means that we don't lose any of them on a free and if we were to sell next summer, we can demand a reasonable fee.
