There were some figures bandied about regarding CL revenues recently and apparently Real Madrid last season took home €58m for winning the CL and it was the most any team ever got. Teams appearing in group stages earn between 20-25m and Arsenal who get knocked out at last 16 very consistently, tend to get around 30m. Not 60m

Unless they have highly punitive clauses from sponsors about CL qualification and the cost really escalates if they don’t qualify, but I don’t see it. Certainly not doubling.
That's just prize money. Factor in 6-10 home games @ £3m a match.

Real Madrid made 80 Million euros and Juventus made 110 Million euros from last year CL.

Arsenal made 64 Million Euros last year.

That is an insult to United, we are linked with a world-class player - Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, Bale, Dybala, SMS, Griezmann, Kross, Kane and Hazard. The media loved linking us with world-class players. Let's not downgrade ourselves to Chelsea, City and Liverpool's level :lol:

Meanwhile, your manager dreams of Rose and Perisic.

What a weird post.

A little disappointing seeing Chelsea linked with vidal/Sandro, city with Sanchez, Liverpool with Lemar, goretzka (way more then us), and then United linked with fecking Andre Gomes and Joao Mario. Both purely average players who wouldn't help at all. Either target top quality players or younger players who can become world class. We have enough of the average squad player quality types here.

We are linked with players like Dybala and Griezmann though...

Keep Shaw at least until Summer bring back Fosu for rb cover and Buy a Midfielder ffs. This is where we are crying out for more cover. I really dread to think how many points we would lose if one or both of Matic or Pogba were out injured for any length of time. Come on Woodward get us a top midfielder ASAP.

Who would you prefer, a Luke Shaw (even in his current form which is not the worst) or him ?
I would go with rose. I think he is a better player. But would not sell shaw.
But here is only important what jose wants. If he wants rose then we should buy him. Of course not at any price.

Of course, Rose and Perisic is best player in their own position, they are on another level and world class. They all want to join us in the big red bus and ride around Disneyland version of the threats of dream. Let’s not downgrade us to Chelsea , City, Arsenal or Liverpool, any manager can dream of our target we linked with a players.:lol:

If City go for Sanchez can we have Sané? Pretty pls

I generally hope Mourinho wins the war with Woodward for transfer funds, but this particular deal is one battle I'd sooner see him lose. Rose isn't someone we should be targeting.
Rose is better than every full back on United's roster. That's a pretty good reason to target him.

I would have taken Cenk Tosun as a back-up striker here. Very big fan of him.

 You gotta bi kidding me, hope club put their foot down and shut this idea. 40 mil for Google master, yea no.

Personally think the club should go for whoever the manager says he wants. They hired him to mange the team, if he thinks Duncan Ferguson would make a good number 9 then they should try sign him. Judge him if it fails. City could have baulked at spending a fortune on full backs

Not really true. End of the day board and coach should sit down and make sensible decisions, not just throw the cash because we can or coach wants.

If the board are that concerned about Mourinho's judgement, they should hire a DoF to discuss signings with him. Until they're willing to do that, the current United board - who don't have an ounce of practice football knowledge between them - have no business telling one of the world's best managers who he can and can't sign.

He isn't SAF, so board shouldn't follow everything blindly.

Sensible thing to do to be fair, Blind isnt getting much game time but he has resale value. Nothing on Fellaini and the others which expire presumably?
