Please keep Martial and DDG and Martial. I know Mahrez is on and off type of a player but at least he would offer some pace, width and trickery from the right wing.
Just to clarify, you want us to keep Martial?

Midfield additions would be overkill for me, unless we are to sell Pogba, which is the last thing I hope we do.

I think 3 very high quality players will do.

Sandro
Alderweireld
Kovacic

Would be a dream summer for me, although I don’t think we are desperate for a centre half.

I think with an actual game plan, our attack is okay for now. I’d like to see Chong get some minutes too, along with Andreas, TFM and Tuanzebe coming into the squad to replace some departing players.
I can't see Pogba leaving, we're building something and he's a vital asset to that. I don't see CB as a necessity signing either, more a luxury. But if we can get Alderweireld then I'd get him, we desperately need a leader at the back to organise the defence.

I think Andreas will be sold and Tuanzebe loaned, TFM more than likely back up or rotation with Valencia since Jose had a 3/4 year plan for him.

Kovacic is exactly what we need imo.

He’s literally the perfect signing we could make. An upgrade and long-term replacement for Herrera. I think him or Koke would be the best fits for us if we could pick anyone we wanted.

Can't see us having a chance of getting Kovacic now, seems to be playing plenty of the big games for Real at the moment, feels like any window of opportunity that existed has closed.

I agree, seems clear to me Zidane wants him to take over from Modric. Of course, with Real we never know who the manager will be from season to season, or who they will sign, so you never know what the situation will be come summer.

And then first day of the season and we see Mata or Lingard starting as RW, yeah perfect indeed. :nervous::lol:
rightly said.. add a proven right winger and we are ready for the titl... never mind.

Our big name signings don't really work out these days... I hope they do this time.

Neither Martial or Rashford are proven left wingers they both prefer ST/CF roles.

I don't think our team plays a 4-3-3 as clear as others do we play somewhere between 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 and so our wingers play more like wide forwards (RAM/LAM).

I'd like to see us go for Dybala he plays 10 but has played RAM/LAM for Juventus at times this year and been exceptional.

I think that's because of the lack of quality in wide positions.

So you think Mourinho is building towards a 4-3-3 rather than a 4-2-3-1?
Yeah, recently we are playing with Herrera, Matic and Pogba. The wembley farce against tottenham, sevilla debacle helped us move on from 4-2-3-1. Atleast certainly in big games.

Its plausible although traditionally 4-3-3 doesn't have a No.10 in it so us being interested in Fred is a tad strange.

Still, I think Mourinho is likely building a team that has both a plan A (4-3-3) and a plan B (4-2-3-1) because it Mourinho and he loves a good defensive tactic when we're in front.

Alex Sandro, Alderwiereld, Milinkovic-Savic and Fred would be a great summer for us.

It would be almost for me. I would still like to see another fullback or true winger. Not hearing Perisic mentioned anymore but you can tell from this season what that kind of width would add

Hopefully Sanchez starting RW and Martial LW.

I think RB we'll give Fosu-Mensah a chance, wingers I'm not sure we plan on signing one as Jose has said a few times this season. If we line up how I mentioned above, we'd be much better, especially if Sanchez gets a decent pre-season of understanding his role at RW under his belt. I think Chong will also get the odd minute here and there.

As an American, I'd hate to see Pulisic in Liverpool red. Normally I'd be in favor of a move that might develop his game further, but I just couldn't stomach the thought of him lining up for them. I was hoping he'd stay at Dortmund and put together a couple more good campaigns before getting snapped up by a bigger club.

Apparently Jose's said to Sky he wants them to stay too, but if they insist on leaving he won't hold them back

I think that’s Mourinho’s style. He’s happy to keep a large squad for depth in case of injuries and such, but won’t really stand in the way of players if they want out (assuming they’re not a first choice top class player). Contrast to LvG who’d bin anyone who wasn’t really in his plans.

He’s lying, he doesn’t want them.

I mean yeah I totally expect them both to be gone this summer but like anyone else whose future is in contention I don’t think Mourinho will actively push anyone out. He likes playing the line that it’s all on the player to decide.

Well yea, it’s more gentlemanly to do so in public, but they are no less available than the likes of Rafael, Nani and RVP who have left before Jose in my opinion. It’s just tact.

I remember how he spoke about Mkhitaryan, when he was likely trying to force him to Arsenal instead.

I think it's probably a negotiation tactic so we can get more money for them, which isn't the worst idea in the world.

Thiago leaves Barcelona for 18m? for Bayern. Re-sign him for £100m+ if it was to go ahead. Almost as bad as us and Pogba .

As for Jose wanting to hold onto Blind and Darmian. I'd keep the former if he's happy to never get game time unless we're riddled with injuries.

Hopefully Sanchez starting RW and Martial LW.

I have a mate that is a season ticket holder at Palace. He’s said that TFM isn’t even good enough for them, let alone Manchester United.

Yep. We massively over-rate our youngsters. Every time I've watched TFM, he's reminded me of a superb athlete with no footballing brain.

And before the posters quoting Leroy Sane, every dog has his day. Ashley Young pocketed Mo Salah at OT, if he was playing for Watford this season, would you want us to sign him as our new LB? Or would you also consider the rest of his performances for Watford and the fact he was displaced from their 11 by an even younger player?

Leroy Sane disagrees. He claims Fosu-Mensah is the toughest fullback he's played against this season.
