Why doesn't United have a Journalist with inside info?
City have Sam Lee, Arsenal have Ornstein, Chelsea have Matt Law similarly Liverpool has someone too
Who is our guy with inside info?

Simon Stone reports stuff 10 minutes before conformation by the club, Delaney doesn't have a clue, Ogden is hit and miss same with Castles.
I guess Luckhurst has a few connections and has got a few exclusives right like the Matic transfer.
But we don't have anyone with info like Same Lee has, he knows City's entire transfer plan and is spot on every time.
Why doesn't the biggest club in England have such a guy

Why should united care about that? I suppose they want to deal with transfers and other matters without publicity with maybe Castles getting a few tidbits here and there

Havertz, Tah, Bailey, Jedvaj and him. Such a solid base.

Jedvaj has dropped way down the pecking order and has hardly played, injuries haven't helped him though, which is sad because I remember he looked amazing when they first signed him on loan from Roma. I thought they secured a gem of a player when they got him permanently. Leverkusen signed Retsos (19 yrs old) who is the preferred defender, playing all positions across the back 4.

Right now Leverkusen's core base is Leno, Tah, Havertz, Bailey (don't think he's stay beyond the summer though), Brandt (may also leave this summer) and Retsos. The rest like Henrichs and Jedvaj are not consistent starters and don't think are trusted by Herllich as they were under previous managers.

United doesn't care about it but it would be nice to have someone with inside info for us fans

Simply put, we don't need someone like that. We don't really want our transfer targets publicised to the world. Reddy, Pearce, Ornstein and Lee are all cut from the same cloth, they get their information when something is done and only print it when it's a matter of time till announcement.

Matt Law is fairly reliable but I suspect he's quite opinion based in his articles and his thoughts become news. The only person who has regularly had a decent accuracy regarding United is Di Marzio, but he's not really United focused. On a regular basis, Castles is about as good as we've got but he writes some utter drivel at times.

Why would the club want that? We don't have "such a guy" because the club keep transfer stories quiet.

Such an arrangement can’t come about without club or someone high up caring. They have little reason to. Their job is not to appease the fans with news. Though Duncan castles is closer to anyone else (though he is pretty hit and miss himself)

The more pertinent question is why the club would want to brief a journo about their plans? We don't have such a guy because we don't want to.

I'll be staggered if Bailey remains with them. Paulinho will come in as the replacement imo.

Yeah you're right about Bailey. It still makes me mad that we don't do deals like Paulinho etc.

I agree that the club doesn't really need someone but seeing how much inside info Sam Lee has just made me wonder why we don't have anyone.
Even Real and Barca have Marca and Sport although they are mostly used to tap up the players they want.

Not that it's a bad thing, but it would be nice to have someone like that, a mouthpiece to rubbish the million rumors that float around, like Sanchez being on 500k a week, everyone of our star players leaving and all that

That's what I'm asking. What's in it for the club to have a journo like that to whom they give all info?

He is a unit.

I know its only a youtube video but he seems to have a knack for intercepting and tackling.

Yep, his dribbling and passing are unreal for a CD and at that age. He also has a wicked delivery into the box. With all the assets he kick starts attacks both when in possession or interception on the counter. A real catalyst.

I would snap him up if we had the chance.

I don't know the answer to that but many clubs seem to be doing it, which got me thinking, that's all

Immobile is only behind Salah in the goalden boot race and SMS is highly rated and watched by most big clubs. Why would they choose Spurs? Each would cost £100m too.

Mind you, that would be brilliant business for Spurs. Immobile has spent the season as their main striker. Does this mean the end of Kane at Spurs?

The only reason is the clubs want the journos to go easy on them. Like how moyes supposedly used to do. Liverpool echo has fairly good sources in the club so they mostly stick up for the club in their articles too.

For us, we probably don’t care.

Why are there no rumors surrounding Luis Alberto?
There are a few reports regarding Barca being interested in him, but nothing solid and no other club seems to be interested.
Considering the hype around SMS and now Immobile, it's strange that no one is noticing Luis Alberto.

He's 25,has 12 goals and 17 assists this season plays as a AM / CAM.
In the last 8 games, he has 4 goals and 7 assists.
Also he is very good at set pieces.

This is not a thread for discussion. Please post tweets and discuss about it only.

Makes sense

Yes, I live in Freiburg. I was on my way home and he came out of nowhere not paying attention to the traffic. Had to hit the brake pretty hard in order not to crash into him.
And he was just continuing to ride his bike as if nothing happened.

He probably would have dented your car then dusted himself off and rode on

That Turkish defender looks like Turkic Vidic plus the curly bap.

Immobile is a failure so far in Sevilla and Dortmund. Why he want to do it again in more demanding pace in PL?

Mo Salah also failed to impress in the PL 3 years ago. Your point is invalid. He's clearly improved.

Immobile thrives in quick counter attacking systems but is average in the rest of his game, which is why Juventus decided to give him up. He was for instance very lethal in the CL for Dortmund (including against Arsenal), just not in the slower and more compact Bundesliga. That demanding pace that you speak about would suit him perfectly.

Lazio, Spurs etc is his level. But he would be useless in a team like United which relies more on its strikers in the build up. With that said, I think he should stay where he is.

Betis weighing up a €16m offer for Ceballos, and would be open to negotiating a buy-back option with Real Madrid. They wanted him on loan in January but Spanish FA doesn't allow a player to be registered twice in the same season by the same club.

Tottenham don’t have the cash to buy M. Savic, and they certainly have no money to have him on the payroll. Lazy journalism.

I’d be happy with the first two, although I’m pretty sure Sessegnon’s future is as a left winger, rather than a left back, and we’re already stacked in that department. So Sandro would probably be the best option.

Don’t fancy Rose myself. A few years ago yes, but not now.

Mundo Deportivo: Barça are now considering loaning Dembélé, 20, out to gain experience and see the possibility of him joining another Liga side as ideal.

Most expensive player ever go on loan? Can't see it happen
