Correctly predicted Italy to win Euro 2020
That sounds great. In my head Doucoure is similar to Dembele at Spurs but with more goals, i could be completely wrong though.

I'll be honest, I've only seen Doucoure a handful of times but he was far and away the best player on the pitch when Watford hammered Chelsea. Be a smart signing, Dembele and Ramires comparisons are spot on for me, hopefully wouldn't cost an arm and a leg either.
I remember when people said that exact same thing about Ighalo.Ignoring that he's a CM Doucoure is exactly the type of player we'd have signed under Fergie.
He's looked comfortably Watford's best player and looks ready to step up.
Be a shrewd signing I think.

There's definitely middle ground between the best players from a lower half of the table team and big high profile signings. There's loads of examples either way. The only other option is big high profile signings constantly or wonderkids. Neither of those have a 100% record either.
Im with you here. Watching Schneiderlin, I think he was rather slow in his way of distributing. Doucoure seems more talebted. More clever on the ball and able to attack as well.

Really?Such as?
Really?
I'll name some United ones from over the years. A mix of successful and not so successful signings.
Kagawa.
Evra.
Vidic.
Ferdinand (not from a lower half of the table team).
Mkhitaryan.
Fellaini.
Carrick.
Rojo.
Young.
Blind.
Darmian.
Schneiderlin (at the time, Saints were better than Watford now).
Van Der Sar (although similar to Doucoure, I'll admit, had way more pedigree).
Not really your point I don't think. Or if it was, it's a poor point. So exactly my point then? Would you rather us be targeting those sort of players now?

You said exactly the type of signing Fergie would make, but Fergie would make all types of signings. Big expensive players (Ferdinand, Veron), players from mid table teams (Valencia, Young) and youth players with potential (Rafael, Chicharito, Djemba Djemba).
That wasn't exactly my point tbf, but close. But the one he was known best for was picking up players on the verge of making the step up.
You then went on to suggest that it wasn't a sure thing (such was your ighalo point) which I then mentioned no other signing we would currently make would be a sure thing either.
That wasn't exactly my point tbf, but close.
My point is there are plenty of player who look the part for short spells. Would Doucoure be an Ighalo or a Mahrez?
If anything it's our record at the high profile signings that has been pretty poor in recent times.
Pogba & Ibra have been shrewd business! They’re our highest profile players, so who are you aiming that post at?
I havent seen him play live and cant say I took much notice when Watford were on TV, but for that money, and what the majority think on here surely its worth a punt, and if it doesnt come off its no big deal to sell again. Much better than spunk a fortune on a player and that doesnt come off.
I can't find it now but on newsnow one paper saidhis value was 10.5 million. Even if it was double, that be worth having a lookWhen you say ‘for that money’, what money are you talking about?

Tbf, Paul pogba for £89 mil is a great deal.I'm not sure a world record signing can ever be called shrewd.

Dacoure would be a Fergie type of signing.
Mundo Deportivo: Nyemar wants to return to Barcelona. The player spoke to players and staff, he admitted it was a mistake joining PSG.
Urgh. Don't want if that's the case. This wouldn't surprise me, offers very little on the ball but will do the dog work for Matic.
