They'll end up signing him for £50m this window along with £58m defender for two players they don't need and the media will dub it brilliant business but us signing Sanchez on a free was outrageous.

Where are the Laporte's total wages, fee, image rights and agent fees added together to make the back page of the Daily Mail in big goal font?

Not exactly surprising that they’re in the market for an attacker considering they wanted Sanchez and missed out.

They were happy to wait until the end of the season right? Pep is clearly an insanely talented manager, but he also does rely on being able to buy pretty much anyone he wants. If a player gets injured, just go out and buy another one, for huge sums. I'm sure quite a lot of managers could have a very positive record with that kind of financial support.

What would Pep do at a team like Liverpool or Spurs? Probably not much more than Klopp and Pochettino.

Do City not have any kids they could put faith in for a bit? It's not like they have to worry about the league.

Why even bother having a youth team if you reach for the chequebook after every injury.

I'm a little surprised that there hasn't been any speculation linking players like Blind and Darmian to moves away, even if Jose might not like to sell them now, they get no minutes (granted that their national teams aren't in the world cup).

Good point, city's academy is not worth a wank if they can't bring in any of this golden legacy they've created.
Why does this genius of a manager have to panick buy when he gets "one" injury.
