So Palmeri is well sourced enough to know Sanchez's wages, but not to tell the company he's a correspondent for that their claims of 'two announcements tonight' a few days ago was complete bollocks. Yeah right.

First we had Di Marzio saying £300k a week.
Then we had a few saying it might be £350k a week.
A few clowns started coming out with £450k a week.
Stone and some other complete fecking tools started saying £500k a week.
And now Palmeri is trying to suggest it will be £700k a week gross?

Bloody hell.

He must have just read tomorrow's papers.

Not sure if this bullshitter is banned or not.

 That's absurd. His claim has no credibility whatsoever. 22.5m euros per year AFTER tax? That's £19.84m net, which means paying Sanchez £37.5m gross (more than £720k per week). That's far more than Neymar, Messi or indeed any other player in the world is paid.

We are not paying Sanchez £720k per week.

Sanchez probably left the team hotel because he's not in the match day squad, but you have to churn out those articles somehow.

a few years ago I would have loved him back.

Now all we are is leverage to him and his agent, being used to get a pay rise every year.

Manchester does not want Cristiano

Should've come back a few years ago and helped us get back to the top, Ronnie.

Then you'd be at a club who loves you and would treat you better through your transition into an older player...

Though, if it's just another wage increase you're after, there's another team in Manchester who I gather are obsessed by all things United, maybe you could try playing them?

I'm sure he regrets not playing for Moyes and winning three Champions Leagues over the past four seasons.

I wouldn't pay much attention to the Spanish papers. They've said this every season for the last few seasons. I can't see him going anywhere.

Madrid will want shot of him soon enough though Damo, they're not like us with their legends mate - I know you know this, but it's worth remembering.

Ronaldo could well be looking at us now and thinking 'hmm'.

I just think he's used us for contract improvements for about 4 years. Wish him well, but if I'd prefer the club to make clear they're not interested.

Thank feck for that. We're not a Bolton-under-Big-Sam that needs fading prima donnas (with this one turning up for a final payday). I love the guy and hope he takes his CL record further. Would like it even if he turns on the style and lands another Ballon d'Or ahead of Messi, but he's done and declining. He won't last more than a year or so at anywhere close to the level we want (that's if he gets to that level again, given where his form's at). Don't want.

Oh and yeah, him and Sanchez wouldn't fit into the same No.7 shirt anyway...

I think what he'll remember more is the Ballon d'Ors. If he had come here four years ago I don't think he would have got to five. We'll never know though.

Probably why they walked away from the Sanchez deal? Not gonna lie, seeing him in a City shirt would really hurt! :(

If Ronaldo goes to City, he would be tarnishing his legend status at United. Not to mention, Fergie would be very disappointed who is his father figure in football. If Ronaldo does not go to United, I could see him move to PSG. CR7 and 80m for Neymar could tempt PSG and Neymar. PSG have fashioned themselves as a team capable of winning the CL, which would be a huge temptation for for CR7 and it would be easy to score goals like what Neymar's been doing. Can you imagine CR7 going to PSG and creating a goal record for PSG like he did at Real? He still has a good 5 years left to perform in a ligue 1.

Nah you're right, they've been in a dominant phase, we haven't.

Now it's our turn to start forming a great team though, and he might be thinking that he fancies returning as Madrid will look to get him off the books (at least, one more season like this and they defo will).

I just hope we look to players in their prime(ish) and draw a line with him.

How would you feel having him back?

A few years ago I would have loved it but the time has passed now. We need to look forward and not back.

Aye, exactly the same.

I do wish him well though, I'd always thought that he was too smart and savvy to not reinvent himself as he aged... though could anyone do that at such a demanding club as RM?

Wherever he goes, it'll be interesting to see if he does that. But the thing is, his game has lessened rather than broadened.

Reckon PSG and French league could be a welcoming home for him next.

This story was a non starter to begin with. Real have been looking to sell for 2 years now and the Spanish papers are doing their leg work as per usual.

Madrid have him where they want him. He has a contract till 2021 on astronomical wages that no one but some nutter in China, Arab world or America can afford. He is too ambitious to go be a show pony in Asia or America.

Seeing as he likes to use us when it benefits him, I wished we’d be more public about it. “We heard he was interested in a return and reached out to his representatives. We were told he had no interest in a return. Not sure where this is coming from”.
