Matt Law is shit. He's explicitly pro-Chelsea, and doesn't report on us fairly.

Exhibit A:

Sure Matt, but like, he's on £150k a week on a 5 year contract. THAT should have you headlining with £100m total right? Right??

Don’t forget his story the other day on agent fees for Sanchez but there was no story from him about Chelsea’s £7m agent fees for Ross Barkley.

Exactly. He's a biased clown and doesn't even try to hide it.
@Damien this could be a pretty good tweet on the RedCafe twitter account.
Edit: I meant the screenshots of Matt Law reporting on Morata and Sanchez deal.

Fred will cost £25million; he'll accept a wage-cut for the honour of joining City/Pep and his agent will waver a £15m fee out of excitement for his client.

Wage cut? I heard they don't get paid, and that the money earned from that goes to teaching Pep's philosophy in the local schools?

We are already 6th favourite to win it at a 14/1, here's the other teams.

Manchester City 3/1
PSG 5/1
Bayern Munich 11/2
Barcelona 13/2
Real Madrid 13/2

I think that Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern, if we played them in their current form, we have a 50/50 chance against them.

So that leaves City and PSG, who would be clear favourite against us but hey, it's a cup competition, so anything is possible. Adding Sanchez would certainly shorten the odds.
These are English-based bookies. You will find completely different odds in other countries.

Could you muppets spoiler the tweets that aren't relevant for this window?

Does spoilering them prevent them showing up in the aggregate stream?

I did swap the old Matt Law tweet for a screenshot as soon as I realised

Im a little confused by this reporting.

Let's say we swap him straight for Mikhi, Mikhi is an asset that we are trading for another asset - cost = £0.
Salary has been reported as £400,000/week on some websites, I'm going to say that somewhere in the region £300,000 is more likely - cost = £15,600,000pa
Then lets take out Mikhi's reported salary of £150,000/week - cost = -£7,800,000
Agents fees, seen reported £5-10m.

So our first year cost increase is somewhere between £12,800,000 and £17,800,000 depending upon agents fees. Doesn't sound so bad does it??
Net cost over 4 years somewhere in the region of £60-70m. LESS than Liverpool paid in a transfer fee alone for Dick Van Dyke.

I have a feeling we are going to win the Champions League this season. It will shock everyone.

Could be an amazing achievement for Jose to become the first manager to win champions league at different three clubs, I hope he can repeat Porto achievement for us, Europa league winner to the champions league winner on year to year.:drool:

It's interesting how the daily stories linking us with every player across Europe dry up when they can make up stuff about Sanchez and Mkhitaryan for clicks instead.

Other than you not wanting it to be true, do you have any reason to believe that it's not actually true?
Yes reporting that Luke Shaw signed for united with 160k per week and that lasted for a long time, the player himself said the numbers you hear is no where near real. It turned out to be 70k per week less than half of what reported.
