That'd be a great signing for West Ham. Personally, I think we should be in for Joao Mario.

Arsenal are content with losing all the pace in their side just because they might get one of the fastest players in the world. Can Auba and Lacazette play on the pitch together? Who is going to play on the wing... maybe Theo has gone because Wenger has his wing replacement lined up

"The 29 year-old will be paid £14m a year after tax - just under £27m a year before tax - to join United, on top of his £30m valuation, £20m signing-on fee, and an agents’ fee worth more than £10m. That all adds up to around £180m"

Why stop there. United will also be paying £10m a week for someone to dog-sit his golden retrievers, £60m on a weather machine to replicate the weather in Chile and £30m on new pairs of shorts that can be pulled up whenever he chooses.

If we win the CL no one will care about any of this.

Yes because we will pay him £520k a week gross. How can they make this rubbish up and people believe it.

Why are only United transfers talked about and fabricated like this? I bet the truth is closer to 20m before tax and 10m signing on fee and a swap for Miciktaryan who we signed for 25m. With agents fee I'd say of probably 5m so I'd guess it all adds up to 95m plus Micky so 120m. Based on nothing more than common sense.

Our chances would obviously soar if we add Alexis, plus having the likes of Zlatan available, alongside an in form Pogba, Martial, and Lingard. We would be a among the top 4 or 5 favorites at that point.
I suspect - from the tone of Jose’s comments - that Zlatan might not play a major role. I hope I’m wrong of course. But yes Sanchez will sharpen the attack considerably

Holy shit, imagine these two tight-arses trying to do a deal with each other:

WH - we’ll take Mario on loan for four years with an option to buy for £1. You pay his wages.

IM - no way. We want Lanzini on loan for five years with an option to buy for 50p. You pay his wages plus 50%.

WH - no way...

I'm sure Zlatan won't play a major role but for Mourinho its all about having a deep squad at his disposal, which adding a player of Alexis' calibre obviously helps with.

We are already 6th favourite to win it at a 14/1, here's the other teams.

Manchester City 3/1
PSG 5/1
Bayern Munich 11/2
Barcelona 13/2
Real Madrid 13/2

I think that Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern, if we played them in their current form, we have a 50/50 chance against them.

So that leaves City and PSG, who would be clear favourite against us but hey, it's a cup competition, so anything is possible. Adding Sanchez would certainly shorten the odds.

And one of PSG and Real Madrid won't make it past the round of last 16.

Bayern and Barcelona would both be clear favourites against us. Zidane's Madrid are horribly underperforming, but still have one of the best squads around. Juve are a good side. A tie vs Liverpool or Chelsea would be more like 50-50.

I have a feeling we are going to win the Champions League this season. It will shock everyone.

Exactly, and there is a big probability that two of City/PSG or Real/Barcelona/Bayern would have to play each other in the 1/4 finals. so one less favourite.

Well, Barcelona this year aren't all that, don't let their league form fool you. it's just madrid that are extremly shit and i think that we would be a match to bayern.

This is a transfer tweet forum not a Champions League odds debate

Matt Law is shit. He's explicitly pro-Chelsea, and doesn't report on us fairly.

Sure Matt, but like, he's on £150k a week on a 5 year contract. THAT should have you headlining with £100m total right? Right??

Exactly. He's a biased clown and doesn't even try to hide it.
