fecking hell he's basically a slightly quicker Benteke.

He does score a lot of goals. Pretty useful trait in a striker that.

We should go for him for £10 million, I think we have previously been linked with him too.

He is not the answer to our problems, but I think he has a bright future and could be a good addition to the squad.

There are times when Lukaku looks as though he's worth a lot of money (obviously not 65mil) but he is almost as streaky as Rooney. He'll have an excellent spell but can then go long stretches looking about as sharp as Robbie Savage on Mastermind.

40 million pounds on a striker who doesn't score vs one of the best strikers of his generation who scores for fun on, a free transfer.

Tough choice.

Essentially we're trying to replace Welbeck who we sold for £16 million with white Welbeck with less pace and power for about £40 million. Great...

There's really no logic in signing Morata for £40M, I like the guy as well. We've got Rashford, a few years younger who has an eye for goal who I'd much rather we develop.

The only signing that would make sense would be a stop gap option in the latter part of his career who he can learn from and essentially take the burden from him. *Cough* Ibrahimovic.

I don't get buying him if we're going for Zlatan, we don't need both.
If Rooney is to be made a permanent midfield option then having only 2 strikers for the one position leaves us a bit short, especially with one of them being an 18 year old.

Wilson may come back and be given chances, but considering it's highly likely Mourinho will be our manager next season, that is doubtful.

I reckon signing 2 proven strikers this summer is very reasonable - this isn't saying that I think Morata is the best choice.

We need 3 strikers (including Rashford) so as well as Zlatan we need another. 40m on a guy who has never scored 10 league goals though seems a stretch. However I believe Mourinho gave him his debut?

Obviously, Morata has qualities, otherwise the big clubs wouldn't bother at all. He was fantastic against Bayern in Munich. But I haven't watched him enough and his stats are unimpressive... Maybe some agents just use United's name to get a good contract for their man.

Not keen on spending £40m on Morata, I get that we need numbers up front if Rooney is being moved to midfield permanently but bring in Ibra and take a punt on someone else giving us 3 with Rashford. Morata at £40m you'd expect to be a starter and I don't think he's good enough for that.

Not this. We're not poor, we can get a RW, Zlatan and Morata, and we could do with all 3.

I think Zlatan, Morata, Martial, Rashford and possibly Rooney, Wilson, Keane, etc. is a bit overkill when we'll most likely be playing 1 up top.

Doubt any of those will play up top for us next season.
Plus Martial has cemented his spot at LW and I doubt he'll be moving

They have shown no signs of being first team regulars. Rooney pushed into midfield. That leaves us with 4, which is not overkill.
BTW, I think we could do better than Morata.
