My guess is that all those clubs aren't actually in for him. Reeks of the press putting names in to make it seem like a transfer saga/war.

Right now we have one striker in rashford.Rooney is essentially a midfielder and for now martial will be our left forward. So i think getting 2 strikers in morata and zlatan wont be a problem. Rashford can also play on wings.

Keane won't be here, not good enough any longer, so that is one less.
Dybala is class, but dont think he'd be leaving. Joined Juve last season by rejecting many offers because he wanted to stay in Italy
Not sure where he'd even play though? Mourinho likes his one centre forward and it can't be a guy who can't score. At Madrid, it's easier as you've got goals flowing from either wing and midfield too.
Atleti really have a way of stockpiling top young players who do great on Fifa for me, saul, oliver torres, correa, giminez, vietto and now tielemans, it would probably make more sense just to play as them at this point.

You pay for talent rather than performance these days. Many scouts seem to think morata is a good talent. Also there seems to be a lack of decent lone strikers right now. For me, he is no better than giroud.

How is it overkill? In 99 we had Yorke, Cole, Ole and Teddy for 2 positions, in 08/09 we had Berba, Rooney, Tevez and Saha for 2. How can you be alright with just Rashford and Zlatan as options, assuming Martial is sticking as a LM and Rooney is now a midfielder (not good enough anyway)?
Having Morata, Zlatan and Rashford as options up top would be immense. Throw Martial in there and we have 4 top striking options again. It doesn't matter that we only play one up top. Wilson and Keane aren't good enough, by the way.

4 players for 2 positions equates 2 players for 1 position, not 3
We currently play woth 1 striker and mourinhos teams also play with 1 striket. So 3 is a bit overkill. Rotating zlatan and rashford for 1 podition is good enough. If we have bad luck and tjey both get injurred at the same time we could still play martial or even rooney to cover that position.
If we have 3 strikers, 2 will always be on the bench. If you have zlatan and morata that will simply mean rashford will not be getting any minutes.
Was kind of hoping we would swoop for him, good signing that.
