Yes and no. Castro has been considered as a possible replacement but can play in attacking midfield too. Oliver Torres has played in attacking midfield for Atletico as well and would meet Tuchel's preference for flexible players.

Di Marzio is a bit hit and miss similar to BILD or its English equivalents (Sun, Daily Fail etc).I have to admit that I haven't watched him much but have trust in our DoF and our head coach to pick the right players to improve our squad.

I don't follow Atleti closely enough to know if it's true but what I've heard is that Simeone thinks he's not suited to his system. He was loaned out twice IIRC and with his contract running out in summer 2017, it might be the best time for Atleti to sell (and buy somebody better suited?).
