65M for Lukaku?

well, that's just crazy.

They owe us BIG for Fellaini. They should gave us a 35M discount this time.

ps. we'll end up paying like 50M for him .........................:wenger:

Never in a million years is someone paying 65m for Lukaku. I would love him here, and he would probably be my first choice summer signing, but I would expect any fee to be around the 40 mark, whoever it is he eventually goes to (bar maybe PSG who would probably top that).

I think you're going to have to reset your expected transfer fee amounts. The tv deal means players will go for ridiculous amounts as standard.

In a market that has a lack of quality strikers, anyone who going to get you 15+ league goes a season is going to cost you a lot. Add on money for the fact he's Premier League proven, and he's already playing in England.

Jonjo Shelvey is currently this window's biggest transfer in Europe. What a time to be alive.

Would anyone take a punt at Lavezzi? We should offer a loan move, with option to buy, although Id like it to be just a stop gap until the Summer. It would just give us that extra option.

He can play on both wings and through the middle. He's pretty pacey, skilful, scores goals from wide, etc.

On loan maximum. Players like that seem to tank after 30, he's not all that special nowadays anyway.

Wouldn't be shocked if what he's saying is true, however it will probably be a big player who we have next to no chance of signing.

Aymeric Laporte is my guess. Rumours on twitter that us and Barca are interested.

Is he considered a "big" player though, along the lines on galactico?

Could be. I wouldn't conisder him a 'big' player though.

I'd be happier if it was someone like that though, as we actually would have a reasonable chance of signing him unlike guys like Neymar or Muller.

In a heartbeat.

I have a gut feeling we'll regret missing out for the price he'll go for. He's looking good again.
I'd be very wary about Pato. He's being linked with EVERYONE this window (Palace, West Ham, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, us) which makes it seem like they are desperate to cash in on his recent good form whilst it lasts. Apparently he was so bad when he first moved back to Brazil in 2013 that some of his own team mates had to be restrained from attacking him after getting knocked out in the QF of a cup, he was that shite.
20 million euros also seems like a hefty fee when his contract runs out in less than a year.

The Spanish press have been linking us with James Rodriguez for the past few days.
