Caulker is still only 24, he seems to have been around ages. QPR loan him out, Southampton cancel the loan in January and Liverpool take him on loan, that's bleak.

Anyone else think Shelvey is a great signing for Newcastle? For the position they are in, he's a pretty good player for them.

We're better of going for someone with pretty good ability on the ball because Schneiderlin looks very limited.

Give a 15 year old football manager, put him in a room for a month and pay him to play it day and night, then ask him who we should sign.

We'd have better vision in the transfer market that way than what we've been doing the last decade

It was obviously said in jest. It was more meant that our business has been so poor.
Not saying FM is the football bible, but in most cases, it does present a detailed in depth idea of what you would get from a player

It's difficult to tell when people are joking or saying outlandish shit these days!

Don't think our business has been so bad apart from the size of the squad. Outgoings have been reasonable just needed to replace those players better in terms of quantity. Incomings have been pretty good as well although mostly for the future imo.

Liverpool set to sign Schalke defender Joel Matip this summer

If (it's The Mirror after all) this deal goes through, I'd say that this is a Klopp transfer.

I would love to see Arsenal buy Cavani for 55M at least

If I were an Arsenal fan, I wouldn't care how much was spent, Id be thrilled that a solid striker was bought.
He isnt worth 55m, more like 35-40m IMO, but he would get alot of goals in the EPL.

That would mean they finally have not only the GK position sorted...but the ST as well.

Where does he play? Isn't Arda and one of the two youngest wing cover? Surely Nolito is at the stage of his career where he should be playing as much first team football as possible.

Winger. He'll be rotated with the rest and play the role Pedro played last season. He pushed for the move despite other offers, which means he knows what he's getting himself into. With Sandro or Munir going out on loan, or even both according to some, it will be perfect cover and best possible way to improve our attack.

He'd struggle in the PL now, esp. with the pace and intensity of the game. Much more difficult than it was when he was in his prime. So with him in decline, it's not going to be pretty
Not that he'd be good enough for us now because of his age but he left like 2 years ago not 20, you're acting like the league has gotten faster and tougher in a few years. The PL was tougher when he was here, it's a weak league now.

Barca are looking scary. I think they'll retain the Champions League trophy, first team to do so.

Facking hell. Signing Mig is like losing De Gea. One cross mark against Klopp already.

37m release clause? What about the 55 million price being quoted?
At least the release clause part is total BS. Schalke have rejected that already yesterday. L'Equipe goes Indykaila.
