Still think we will sign a couple. Patience folks.
I'm with LennonNL and doubt you'll sign a couple of players. LvG will consider Januzaj 's return as a signing, January business done. ;)

QPR don't even want him so hopefully it means he's still shite. Watch him mark Rooney out of the game on Sunday now...

Caulker, who began his career at Tottenham Hotspur, has not played for Southampton since his appearance in Liverpool’s 6-1 Capital One Cup demolition of the South Coast team.
Klopp must have been suitably impressed.

Caulker

It's embarrassing that they could not find someone else. Granted, he will not be playing much of a role there but this is a player who in his last three seasons in the Premier League has been relegated twice and had his loan cancelled once by a team Liverpool are supposed to be better than.

Can't be worse than Toure or Lovren, smart move from Pool. Gives them cover at CB, and if he does pick up some form and play well then they can try to sign him

Caulker is a Championship level defender, similar to Blackett. Surely they could find someone better, even if it's in January?

Lovren may be shit but he is way way better than Caulker, if it was United I would have much rather seen McNair play than sign Caulker.

I remember him being relatively decent for Spurs. QPR inevitably turned him into a pile of shit.

As I said in another thread, The team that had Caulker were relegated the last 2 seasons.

First picture of Jonjo Shelvey in Newcastle having his medical ahead of £12m move

Shelvey is a good player - so why would he want to go to Newcastle with arguably the best (worst) club at not getting max out of their players ?

Southampton don't want him either, which is probably why Liverpool do.

Even Lovren was good at Southampton. Caulker was shit there. It can be a lot worse.

Strange that we're interested in a defensive midfielder. That said, I guess, sooner or later, we're going to need a replacement for Carrick.
