Yes please Ilkay :drool: I assume we'll bring a CM in during the summer given Carrick and Schweinsteiger's age and increasing injuries. Gundogan gets my vote.

The M.E.N. is going on about Lucas Biglia again. I would rather sign Saul than a 29 year old who is on the cusp of the downward slope.
 
If our interest is genuine, there's no reason for us not to pay his release clause and leave him at Atletico for the rest of the season.

The player has a release cause... I dont see how bidding low has anything to do with it. Athletico will surely reject any bid below the clause

Buy out clause is €24, so why offer less, as obviously while United bid under it Atletico aren't forced into allowing the player to negotiate with United, nor by the sounds of it are they keen to let him to go.
 
I doubt we're going to offer a bid €4m under a release clause. It's just not how we operate at all.
 
We need someone like Gundogan in our midfield. Someone who can drive with the ball in the middle of the park and make things happen. Was hoping we got him last year, but we went for Schweinstieger instead. Hope we go back in for him. A midfield three of him, Schneiderlin and Herrera would be awesome, in my opinion.
 
Pay the buyout clause. We have a new player tomorrow. Don't understand why we would do anything other than that.

LVG would probably play him at left back

Considering how much money United happily for other players, it's beyond me why United didn't meet Dortmund's asking price in the summer; he had agreed terms with you guys.

I'm certain he won't renew at Dortmund but would, similar to last summer, wait with his decision which club he's signing for as long as possible; most likely after the Euro 2016 but 100% not before he knows that his next club plays in the Champions League.

IIRC the asking price wasn't the issue but rather the wage demands was too high. Also consider he had back problems so that was a wise decision at that moment.
