Excellent - lets overpay even more for a player that Real overpaid for a few years ago. Thank god there's no more truth in it than any other transfer nonsense involving us

51 goals in just over 100 games, UCL, CWC, CDR and a USC and he still holds an estimated value of something close to what they paid 3 years ago...

How exactly did they over pay?

In the sense that they paid a world record fee for a player some distance away from being one of the world's best players. I can accept he's been good since joining them, but for a world record fee I'd expect a Ballon d'Or quality player, and he's definitely not that.

Prices might seem excessive but it's market value, we haven't seen anyone with more ability and marketability than Bale transfer since he moved to Madrid, the best players in the world rarely move so we aren't going to regularly see transfers in the same category as Bales, therefore it still stands as a world record.

That's just using your arbitrary definition of "a players value".

Real Madrid's accountants will have a much more precise definition based on:

His contribution to their performances and the income those performances have resulted in.
The performance of his image rights.
His amortized valuation compared to his current market valuation.

With all those (and his wages) taken into account I'd bet they consider what they paid for him a fair to favourable price.

Yesterday's nonsense, regurgitated today.

We'll buy Gareth Bale for a record fee when Real don't want him and at that point he won't even be worth it.

For some reason, I think there's some underlying validity to the Bale tweets.

Similarly with the DDG tweets last January and we didn't want to believe it.

Not saying we'll get him mind.

I cant wait for us to get Lewandowski, Bale, Mane, Sane and Kane for 300M and teach them all the perfect backpass :devil::devil:

So essentially Ed will type "ane" into the search box on Football Manager?

Sounds about right.
