Hope City go in for him. Sell Sagna and replace him with Trippier. Less wages and he's home grown.

Rather he got regular game time, than sitting on the City bench, (you have Zabaleta), he looks like a good player.

Xavi to announce his move to Qatari side Al Sadd on Thursday.

Sport Witness: Marca's Coentrao claims are their own idea and based on the defender fancying the move.

According to Sport.es, Real Madrid will wait another year and get De Gea on a free if United refuses to sell him for 30 million euros or less.

We should be fine with that. 1yr is a long time, things might change. Madrid could be banned too.

Free transfer it is then.

Zabaleta is 30 and this season has not been his best. Trippier could provide serious competition if he keeps his heads down. He'd get used to the system City play and the different demands on a full-back in our system and he has the potential to dislodge Zabaleta down the line. Although there's no denying from a footballing perspective he'd certainly be safer off elsewhere.

Don't go to Arsenal, Petr. :(

I doubt Madrid will kick the can for a year. They will cave on the price at some point this summer.

Take the fecking money. DeGea doesn't want to be here so let him go, he's not a fecking piece of meat. Who knows how he will react next season if he's forced to stay here. There is a reason why this hardly ever happens in football.

Wait a year and feck Madrid
The price is terrible but still think we should sell (assuming his mind is made up to go).

First off, keeping a player against his will never works out, you dont want a distracted or upset GK. Secondly this season we have Cech available and Lloris is probably re-evaluating his Spurs career given they have missed out on CL again. Might not have that level of replacement available next year.

De Gea is a professional, so I don't think his performances would suffer if he has to stay with us for another year. Rejecting 30 million to keep a player for another year before losing him on a free doesn't make much sense to me financially, but hey, Dortmund did it with Lewandowski so you never know.

Its going to be a long summer.

Ah Real what a machine, having Marca to bluff in their behalf...feck the money, let him on free next year, lets see who gonna blink first.

There's been no indication whatsoever that that's the case.

Basically this. If Madrid want to play hard ball for a player we can afford to lose on free, then feck them.

Bayern's interested in Sterling according to BILD (as I understand it). Apparently Guardiola's brother has contacted Sterling's representatives. (feel free to correct me)

Bayern signing Sterling and then United getting him after a couple of years sounds like a plan ;)

Keeping an unhappy player is never fine. I believe Van Gaal is of the same opinion, he signs & stays or needs to be sold & get someone in who wants to be here.

Stuff this idea of selling De Gea now just so we get some money. He's under a contract, make sure he fulfills his contractual obligations, and then let him leave.

Modric is an example of someone who wanted a move, was denied it by Levy and played well the following season, If as the paper suggests Madrid are unwilling to match our value then let them wait, I'm sure their ever so patient fans would be *fine* with not getting the player they've been promised this summer, if thats the stance they want to take then we should call their bluff.

DDG and his agent are the only two people that truly know what's up and IMO he is off or he would have signed that bumper contract extension already. I think we would actually pay him more than Madrid but his heart seems to be already set.

We have a great coach, are back in the Champs league and have more great players coming this summer ....I think DDG has already made up his mind and we should grab Leno, Loris or Cech while we can.

Yeah if David De Gea wants to play a full season without the insurance of a longer deal and risk injury by all means let him go ahead and do it. Neither he nor his agent is half stupid to take that risk, if Madrid makes it clear they don't want to pay up, he'll sign a contract extension in no time.

Good player that Trippier lad is.

Looked good when I saw them and can clearly cross a ball, but only completed 60% of his passes. The LB on their team was around 67%, so there might be some short passing issues for Trippier to sort out.

Phil Jones had a similarly shockingly low passing percentage at Blackburn, and he's been okay moving the ball as a CB (though was generally confused in midfield).
