If De Gea is going to feck off to that circus then getting Carvajal in the deal would be a good move for us, straight money is worth nothing to United given what they'll be willing to pay for a player in the last year of his contract.

If he asked Mourinho for the move I think he'd reluctantly sell him to you.

Is his distribution and speed up to a high line though?
I know hes a great keeper, but is he the right keeper?

I'd have to say no. If you're going to continue playing the way you have this season (which you obviously will be) than Lloris would be the better option.

We have pretty good coaches at the club, though. Not like playing with your feet can't be taught. I'd rather have a keeper that is good at keeping first and foremost.

He's a 32 finished product that's played one way his whole career, though. Not a young kid who can simply be molded into a ball playing keeper in a preseason.

I don't think Petr is agile and technically gifted enough to play in the way De Gea and Lloris do. Sprinting off his line, dribbling a bit and passing it on the move, playing accurate passes to his midfielders, etc.

Where did i say anything about being a agile sweeper keeper? That you can't learn how to pass at 32 is nonsense.

Give Valdes a chance. I'm sure he has many a point to prove, and he fits the philosophy like a charm.

Might have to work hard on his aerial skills though

I'd say Cech is still in the top 5 keepers in the world, would be the best possible replacement.

Still think there's a chance he'll stay. He's obviously agonising over the decision.

Cech will leave this season and there are basically only 3 possibilities (4 if De Gea stays): Arsenal, Liverpool, & United.

I think Chelsea would rather give him to us, since he's not better than De Gea, while for Arsenal & Liverpool it would be a huge improvement.

€30m is fair how we got ourselves in this position should serve as a reminder in future. He should have had a 2 year extension given when hitting 3 years left. Hope we use him to bargain for Bale somehow but Madrid and DDG hold all the aces.

Keep him, €30M isn't enough to heat Woody's pool for the winter, we'd be better off just keeping him and using him towards trying to win the league.

Cech is my dream keeper replacement. Best keeper in the prem pre De Gea, he's a wall and commanding to boot.

Looking forward to the announcement that he's signed a 4 year extension soon.

For what DDG is done for us in the last 2 seasons, we should be thankful, but I cant help but feel fecked off that he doesn't want to sign to help us get more for him... unless Real is telling him that they won't buy him if he does.

He is not allowed to go abroad ?

So Chelsea can sell pretty much any hack for 30 million plus and we shift the best keeper going right now at 30 million too?

That's what Madrid want to pay, not what United agreed to receive.

We paid £20m or more for Young, who was in the last year contract. Yes, English tax.

We should add Spanish tax for De Gea. £30m is what we really should aim for because Madrid are desperate for a goalkeeper.

People are putting too much empathis on being able to sweep up. I'd prefer a keeper who is better at, you know, keeping tab ball out of the net

Lloris will have to improve significantly with his feet over the summer. Has ddg's assertiveness but nowhere near his technical ability

You would be right, if we weren't playing a stupidly high defensive line, the sweeping ability of our keeper are tested in almost every games and Cech isn't dominant in the box anymore.

Hope it's not Cech....i would rather make Values our number 1 and buy a promising young keeper as back up who could eventually take over from him.

Why should we sell when Real Madrid are offering an inconsequential figure that we can do without ? If their offer is not approaching £40m maje him play out his remaining one year and allow Iker to stink up their place for one more season. We have no need to sell and the Woody can make up the money in his sleep.

If that's the case surely that shows him that Madrid don't want him that much.
