If Bayern sign Gündogan they might as well sign Reus as well, since Robbery is getting old and all that.

And screw it, Dante is getting worse and Badstuber can not stay fit, patch up the differences and sign Hummels. Maybe

Then bring in Klopp after Pep.

Dortmund bug me a bit. They always try to be so respectful and a gentleman's club, and don't realize that Bayern are being cut-throat, bending them over and destroying them. Dortmund have told us to eff off plenty of times, yet seem to flutter their eyelids whenever Bayern make their presence known. Dortmund are completely in awe of them.

How are the Dortmund fans going to feel after the way Gotze left them in the first place?

I don't think they'd want him, as he's seen as a traitor and his performances have been shit for a while now. Still, he's only 22 years old and it's only a matter of time before he regains his form. He's way too talented not too.

A bigger issue, why would Gotze want to take a pay cut and join a team with no CL football and very clearly on the wane? He may not be as great as first expected, but I'm sure some bigger teams would take a shot on him.

Gundogan - Gotze swap rumours escalating it seems.

More chance of United signing Messi.

There's noway they will let Gotze leave and even if he was available he could get more money and a much bigger club than Dortmund.

Ah good another swap deal! I think the last swap deal was done in pesetas.

Oh Bayern . They aren't seriously raiding Dortmund again are they? Surely not? This makes 0 sense for Dortmund, their chief executive shouldn't be anywhere near anyone representing Bayern. Any Dortmund transfer to Bayern would mean less profit from sale, weakening their squad while directly strengthening their number one rival. Not to mention the anger it must awaken in Dortmund fans. They should give Gundogan an ultimatum; either stay until your contract expires or move abroad. Dortmund are slowly but surely establishing itself, as a platform for you young players to develop and to then move on as established players to Bayern.

Why would goatboy want to return to Dortmund when Lewandowski is with him at Bayern, Gundogan and Hummels are probably leaving, Klopp is leaving, and Dortmund won't be in the CL.

Maybe the only way is back down after scoring the winning goal in world cup final...nah I'm kidding it would be complete lunacy on his part with all those points you mentioned plus add the fact they were burning his shirt when he left in the first place.

Seems a very odd story to me but if Gotze is surplus at Bayern we should go in for him.

So we can have another attacking midfielder we'll try to shoehorn into the team.

I think Di Maria may be on his way and Januzaj sent out on loan. Those two have been used as attacking midfielders on occasion this year to no great effect. Mata who I think is a brilliant player is being played out wide and LvG questioned him in that number 10 position earlier on in the season, I don't think LvG believes he is mobile or strong enough. With Rooney hopefully deployed as main striker next year I could definitely see room for the likes of Gotze, he is a brilliant player who scores goals and is strong on the ball and and relatively quick unlike Mata. He also likes to take players on and would be very good in counter attacking situations.

Herrera for me is our best midfielder but I do not see him as simply an attacking midfielder. Just an opinion anyway as I really do not see Bayern letting him go, he is one of their main players and has scored 26 goals in 60 starts since joining.

^ Di Maria aint going nowhere.

Maybe you are right...maybe you are not, that's why I used the words 'I think'. You are very confident on the matter but in my opinion I believe if a good offer comes in for him LvG would consider it and I'm sure the player would also.

TL;DR version:
On Pereira and Januzaj:
"As mentioned in this column six weeks ago, the 19-year-old, who was born in Brazil but recently played at U20 level for Brazil, always wanted to stay but a key issue concerned where he will play on loan next season.

Whereas Van Gaal wanted him to stay in England, Pereira wanted a European club -- ideally his former side PSV Eindhoven. The player and his father, who is a former professional footballer himself, not unwisely felt that the slender developing talent could be kicked about in the English championship.

United played the situation well to avoid a repeat of him leaving for Italy -- like Paul Pogba in 2012 -- or France, where Paris Saint-Germain made an offer and awarded him a Premier League debut against Tottenham that blew his mind.

Pereira will almost certainly go on loan next season to get the regular first-team football he won't get at Old Trafford. United will also allow Adnan Januzaj, whose career has stalled this season, the same loan option, but there's much negotiating to be done by executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward. He has to do what's right for the club and the player and, ideally, keep influential agents like Jorge Mendes onside too."

On DDG:
"Mendes also represents United's David De Gea and Nani, who is currently on loan at Sporting, and will do what is best for him, his players and the club. He doesn't want to annoy United by letting De Gea's contract run down so he can move to Real Madrid for a small fee, so United are pushing for the goalkeeper to sign a new deal knowing that, if he leaves, the Bernabeu club will pay a fair fee. The player would also get a huge pay rise.

Van Gaal has to sanction everything but he's well versed in the increasingly complex mechanics of football transfers, where goodwill can be extended to other players aligned with an agent."

Interesting stuff. We are getting cosy with PSV at the moment!

Liverpool want Leverkusen's Son Heung-Min, says the player's agent.

Depay alternative? Seems likely.

L'Equipe say Man United have initiated talks with Hugo Lloris' entourage.
L'Equipe also claim that Lloris has a personal assurance from Daniel Levy that he can leave without a fuss.
