I said before that I reckon Depay is on a short-list of many options for us. Probably the easiest deal to do of them all. Definitely seemed there was something in our Felipe Anderson interest - while I guess Bale doesn't require too much scouting, although may only come in to play if we are to lose De Gea to Real.

If we don't get Depay, I wouldn't mind Felipe Anderson. Looks quite the player. He might need some time to get properly settled though, don't know if we can afford that.

Feels like August in this thread with people over reacting to every little tweet. Surely everyone has leart that almost nothing on twitter can be believed.

It's all about the players wives instagram. That's how we sign players.

Its a bizarre phenomenon. People make animated gifs, post memes, retweet dodgy clickbait tweets, create fake gifs of meetings, check the twitter thread 100 times a day as if anything within is true. Its just bizarre. Complete herd mentality lobotomized sheep.

Well that went South fast! Swings and roundabouts with this stuff I guess but did they really have to rub it in by dredging up the fecking Ings rumour again.

Its just the end of April and people are getting depressed and panicky over some tweets and think we definitely wont get Gundogan, Depay and will end up with some lousy transfers..

Hilarious.

What did you expect? Depay to say - Yeah I had a contact, we sorted everything out, I'm coming in the summer, yeeeahhh, get in!!

They believe every tweet out there - one day is Gundogan to United sorted, the other Borussia denying any contact, one minute its happiness all around the next is us ending up with Vlaar and Ings...

Get a grip people ffs.

Or ignore everything @Mali_Zeus says and enjoy the roller coaster. NOOOOOOO!!! We're signing no one!

I regretted us not signing Alexis and still do now. I fear the same if we don't sign Memphis, Gundogan not so much

Alexis was a big miss for us. Would have finally are up for missing out on Hazard.

It's a bit confusing. Maybe he means that BVB have allowed him to leave at a certain price.

Also, isn't he supposed to keep 'off the record' stuff, you know, off the record?

Not always. Off the record stuff can just mean you don't attribute it to anyone as he has by not saying who at Dortmund has told him that

What a load of shite. We're not splashing out 40+ million on a ''supersub''.

The stay on loan part makes me think that we might keep him on loan -- Monaco get him off their wage bill, we get to see if he actually comes good without making a massive commitment. Not a fan, but it's better than buying him outright (though buying someone like Lacazette or Dybala would be better altogether).

I rather not. If we have him for two years on loan that's like £24m altogether in wages. He's already been given half of that for doing nothing of note.

I don't want to slate the French league, because it has produced some starts. But I think, along with the Dutch league, it's a place to build yourself up and then move on towards the big leagues. De Bryune is at the stage of his career now where he needs to stay in the big leagues and become the best player he can be. It would be infuriating to see such a player go there - he's too good for that.

that's a bit harsh he has four goals and four assists, only 1.5m pounds each.... Bargain! ;)

Don't see the point of De Bruyne going to PSG unless they getting rid of Veratti or Mathuidi.

I'm sure most of us agree but I think if PSG could win their league each season and get a squad capable of fighting for CL each year they wont care how average the overall league quality is. If they offer huge wages they will keep buying top players. I'd rather him go there than Bayern who are making their own league look a joke or to one of our premiership rivals.

I think it could actually be a smart move, simply because it would mean we can concentrate our funds elsewhere. If Hernandez was willing to come back and play that role I think that would work out as well. But given he left for Madrid I'm expecting he doesnt want to sit on our bench and we could sell him for a decent fee, which would add to our funds for areas we clearly need improvement.

Motta is 32 and Matuidi hasnt been at his best. Yet still Cabaye hasnt had a lot of games and when he has played hasn't looked the same player he was at Newcastle. He surely must leave now at 29 and try to get first team football and back to form.

I can see why they'd change things up, though I'm not sure De Bruyne is the type of player to do that. The added bonus with him is that he'd bring the creativity they'll miss when they move on from Ibrahimovic

Keeping Falcao to be a super sub would be the biggest waste of money. Would be smarter to put all that money to DDG's wages and try to keep him

He's frequently one step behind play as it is, without expecting him to come off the bench & adjust to a game's pace and rhythm.

What? verratti would play deeper and de brunye would play as a 10 which is his preferred position. dont know why you think they would sell matuidi or verratti because of de bruyne.

The Falcao thing is pretty funny, has he done so bad that no other clubs are coming in for him?.

Anyway if for some strange reason we do end up keeping him, he surely can't be as bad next season.

The only reason we might keep Falcao is if Mendes is still balls deep in us and it somehow gets us another player, or a new contract for DDG. Which is a shit basis for doing business, but it wouldn't remotely surprise me.

If Monaco are that desperate to get rid of him, let us have him for £15mil. His 9 or 10 goals over a whole season would probably be worth that price in todays day and age.

You could probably get 9 or 10 goals out of Wilson, given roughly the same number of games . You'd definitely get them from Chicharito. We'd even get them from Ings, though I'm not at all convinced he's the answer. From what I know, Falcao's contract is net, so we'd probably have to pay him around £15m a season to stink the place up. I can't see it.

Can't see us keeping him even under the rosiest of circumstances. His 300k/wk wages are outrageous and could be applied to a several very good players or one top player.
