Guess you're talking about his comments in Bild back in january or something like that, right?

His quote were something along the lines that he wasn't back to being fit, which meant that he had pains in his hips, calfs and shins because he'd been out for so long, that his body wasn't used to the intense levels of training and game time.
Nothing regarding his back injury.

Tom McDermott was the one who was 100% sure we are getting Vidal. He takes a punt just like many others. As reliable as @Pexbo

In fairness, Otamendi is a great CB, at least as good as Hummels. Laporte would be worth considering as well.

A fit and in form Gundogan is better than any proper midfielder that we currently have. Price seems very high though all things considered but since we basically have an almost unlimited transfer pot, LVG must still think he's the one for us.

The transfer window has not even opened and you're worried that signing Gundogan [whom we haven't signed yet] is the only transfer activity we'll do and it will leave us "lacking balance".

What issues upfront? Or are you not counting Depay? Because if you mean we need another 9, that's simply a waster of money if we playing with 1 up top.

Yes, there's no restrictions as to when you can sign a contract with a different club, he just won't be on our books "officially" before the 1st of july.
All it requires is that we've agreed on a fee with Dortmund and gotten permission to speak with Gündogan and his agent.

It'll pretty much be a deal similar to the Danilo transfer to Real Madrid.

Depay is not a striker. If Falcao goes we'll be left with Rooney and a (past it looking) RVP. Thats not enough.

Fair enough, believe it when I see it though, I'm far too used to long drawn out transfer speculation, a deal for a player like this all done and dusted in April would just blow my mind.
 
I would imagine that the only thing that really needs to wait for the transfer window is official league registration which allows the player to play for the club?
Not sure on this but I'm sure someone on here can clarify?

its not. Hummels is the best ball playing defender around. Otamendi is one of the best defenders. Hummels lacks in pace and physicality and this i fear will be exposed in the PL. Otamendi is a beast and is probably the best 1v1 defender in the world along with varane and silva. IMO Otamendi will bring what we lost with Vidics departure. Hummels IMO is the wrong choice. But i guess time will tell.
