I said in another thread that there is 'good' and then there is a level of 'good' a player gets too where Real Madrid become interested. Hazard is getting dangerously close to that line from a Chelsea perspective.
Winning the Premier League PoTY seems to be the level at the moment (for Real and Barca)

Better Hazard wins than De Gea in this case

Meh, if we are to continue playing like we do I'd make players like Isco or Reus priorities over Bale. Control in tight spaces> raw pace.

Zero runners behind the defence! I can see plenty goals!!!

Not. Reus would be perfect though. Has raw pace.

I love it when journalists try to sound ITK.

Everyone knows Depay has a choice from a few interested parties. It's bloody obvious United are interested in Hummels too and why would we have bid when it's not even May yet and there are still games to play in both leagues.

People actually entertaining the idea we'll sell Hazard.

He'll be our next club legend. Maybe we'd sell him at the end of his contract (which he just signed a couple of months ago and has to pay him huge wages) after we've won a couple more titles. By then he'd be worth an astronomical sum.

You'll have him for another 2 seasons, maybe 3 max before he heads to Madrid or PSG I reckon.

Whaddya mean 'next club legend'?!? You've only got four altogether, and three of them are John Terry. ;)

As long as the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are winning Champions League titles and Chelsea aren't, you'll be lucky to keep him if they come sniffing.

Real Madrid possibly. PSG zero chance.

He's said himself several times (as recently as last week) that if he ever returns to France it'll be to Lille. Not to mention what a huge step down that would be to go back to Ligue 1.

It won't sound funny if Real or Barca come calling. Thankfully for you, neither need him. Not till Real sell Bale anyways.

I'm not sure if he will let the club announce he is leaving or just do it himself on Twitter.

Yeah especially when PSV have admitted as much.

Would you not worry that Jose's defensive attitude of grinding out wins would start to annoy a creative player like Hazard?

To be fair it's not exactly stifling him is it? It allows him freedom if anything.

That "defensive" attitude that has seen him put up the best stats of his career and will ultimately see him win PoTY?

I hope Hazard stays at Chelsea. The Premier League needs the best players and I'm sick of seeing Madrid always get their way.

Hazard is the center of everything attacking there, they might play defensive football but Jose gives Hazard to freedom he needs too. He's struck a balance by using Oscar, Willian, Ramires and other attackers who don't mind tracking back and doing their part defensively

You again! Are you stalking me?

Make no mistake, I would like to have Bale here. But not for the quoted price. He’s 80m player for counter attacking team.

I felt like you was calling me out lol.

So is that your only point? That Hazard won't go for £20m?

Nobody mentioned that he'd go for peanuts. Real have broken the world record more than any club in recent times, and they will do it again should they feel to.
My point is that it's not as simple as Real Madrid snapping their fingers and Hazard is theirs.

meh.. it is really if they want him. Hazard will not be at Chelsea for more than another 2 years imho. Should the player have his 'head turned' by Madrid attention, he'll go sooner or later.

Any mention of De Gea?

In an entirely different article he says this though:

The question now is whether United can keep him. He has 14 months left on his contract and talks over a new deal continue to drag with Real waiting in the wings in the hope of luring the 24-year-old to the Santiago Bernabéu. It has been some turnaround.
