Will be good to see McManaman in the Prem again, I've always liked him. Nice piece of business by Pulis, too.

Haven't seen him since Wigan got relegated but he did look promising. I thought Pulis would get a winger in as he had to play Berahino out there against Everton.

I don't see the point loaning him to a club that's going to play him up top if we're looking to convert him into a centre midfielder, although we've been playing him up top for the U21's. So far, he's been on loan to Leicester and Wigan, who have both played him up top. It's pointless, in my opinion.

Why do you think we are trying to convert him Into a cm? I think his future is as a second-striker.

Has he dome anything in the championship?

Nope not at all, dunno whether he just needs a change of scenery or what though as he just looks disinterested at Wigan at the minute. He can't really cope with the physicality of the Championship and has no end product whatsoever. Can't really see Wigan being too fussed about him going other than the fact the money they get for him probably won't be reinvested even though it needs to be otherwise they'll be on their way to League One in May.

Well that was where Sir Alex wanted him to develop, but he had some funny ideas about central-midfield in the last six seasons here. What LVG has in mind for him might be quite different, though I agree Powell probably hasn't a future here regardless.

The question to Bale should have been "when Real get sick of you and find someone else who can fill the club shop with customers, will you leave after a bid is accepted?"

I guess I'm just going off what happened when Sir Alex was here. He and Nick both agreed that centre midfield was the position he would end up in. He played a few games under Sir Alex there and looked pretty decent. He also played there this season against MK Dons.

I've bolded key words. "Nick Powell will be used in Manchester United midfield".

The thing is, he probably won't be used as Manchester United player ever again.

Bit crap really, as he's not really been given a fair chance. I personally think he has the attributes to become a top midfielder. The lads only 20.

We should send him on loan to a club where he'll play in midfield and judge him on that.

Poor old Gareth doesn't understand how Madrid works. He will have no choice if he goes. Poor boy.

saw the above tweet on Man Utd news on twitter indicating DDG just resigned.

Had a minor panic when I read that as "resigned" as in quit. I take it you meant re-signed, as in signed a new contract!

Although, yet to see it reported elsewhere, so likely he's yet to decide either way.
